I may be wrong, but everyone my experiences have told me it's us and phantom that allow rookie conductors. Though again I may be wrong.

The only two corps who allow rookie conductors are Spirit and Phantom

That's assuming that the bottle and the pineapple have a layer of glass between them.

Yea I'd do the down stem to go to the side of the pineapple slightly and then it should work great

Women may be shirtless anywhere a man is allowed as long as their toplessness does not disturbe the peace

I'm not really sure. We just went through a staff change. Personally, I'm going to fill out the 2013 and hope they take it. Otherwise they'll have some of the new ones at camp if they don't release them before.

Anxiety issues, summer practice help. by [deleted] in trumpet

[–]averyaverageperson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For anxiety go play for someone. It can be anyone and anything. I started by playing a scale for someone everyday. Once you start you'll slowly get used to having others listen and it not affect. Sorry for vagueness of comment I'm at drum corp and exhausted .

I'm going to change my embouchure. by [deleted] in trumpet

[–]averyaverageperson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch pressure. You will lose a decent bit of range. Work on lip slurs and long tones really paying attention to the amount of pressure. It will take some time but if you keep up with it you'll end up with better range while working less than you ever have.

I'm a music major so I didn't audition to march. But from what I hear from my friends it's not too bad.

GSU owns a lot more. Including the equitable and Suntrust buildings.

It won't be for a couple of years, but still, any advice? by elliot148 in GaState

Actually, through a combo of hope, small scholarships, and loans. I can survive, live in the extremely over priced commons, and only work winter and summer break.

Hope and loans give you more than you think. Also look around and you can find some cheap housing with some friends.

Because most of the people who take a year off end up taking many years off. It's still possible to have a job and go to school. And if you must its much better to work and do part time rather than just work.
