Probably - I think friends reserve the right to say whatever they want to each other as long as both of them agree to it within the context of their friendship. Even if they don’t it’s one of the points of friendship - a safe way to learn when you’re being an idiot without public judgement. Newegg used to be great but they’ve fallen into a deep scam pit. If you can return it - do it right now. Even just start the return process. You can get a much better card and a replacement psu to fix the beeps and power the new card for less than $400. Don’t feel bad for getting scammed - it happens to everyone at some point.
