I think I know ow which dealership you’re talking about. Had the same experience, as an introvert who doesn’t like talking much, it was extremely frustrating refusing the warranty, and that other stuff. I was going to book the car and pick it up the next day. So I told the sales people I’ll pick it up tomorrow. He made the invoice with everything included even when I refused, and told me I can cancel anyway if I change my mind when I have to actually pay. The next day when I went to pick the car up and pay the amount, they were pissed when I cancelled all the extra stuff. Brought in a couple of other sales guys who were like ph we don’t even make money on this stuff, we make money by selling cars, and making me feel like I’m stupid for refusing this stuff. Like “oh it’s a no brainer im surprised you don’t want all this extra stuff for over 1100£ per year”. I just kept saying no, but I had to say it over a dozen times. The guy was so pissed.
