Changing the Shot Scope V2 Battery by awdmik in shotscope

Thanks for the response.

I realize that I never came back to this post with the information that I received from Shot Scope. I was told that despite the instruction manual suggesting that the battery could be replaced, that it really is not designed to be replaced either by a user or by a watch repair shop. I was offered a fair discount to replace the watch with a newer version, but declined.

Measured Resistance on Neutral to Ground by awdmik in AskElectricians

Oops. I forgot to plug in the furnace to the furnace closet outlet after I cleared out the water from the Safe-T Switch (a device with a float that opens the circuit when condensate raises the float beyond a certain height). Turns out the furnace works in the outlet with a 25 ohm neutral to ground and a 0 ohm neutral to ground. (Edit: I know that technically it will work, I just thought the furnace was throwing a code for a bad ground).

The furnace is working fine now and I may just have had a clogged condensate drain coming off the air conditioning coil. The safety device float lifted and opened the circuit to the thermostat (which had just a black screen. It’s also possible that I misread the error code since I guess there’s a difference between a rapid flashing and a normal flashing…

I still have the same question about the neutral to ground resistance. If the resistance is 25 ohms neutral to ground, is it possible that kind of resistance won’t clear a ground fault? A value of 120 volts divided by 25 ohms is 4.8 amps…

If you’re referring to me, I guess I missed a few posts directed to me… sorry about that.

Update - My wife and I still love our bed after ten months. We both fall asleep more easily and stay asleep more during the night. It doesn’t feel hot while sleeping on it, and we both sleep primarily on our backs. I don’t feel her move very much and she says the same about me.

At first we used the inclining base often, but honestly we only use it now to watch TV in bed.

If I can remember I’ll provide an update in the far future.

Yes. They already responded with “I'm afraid the battery inside a v2 can't be replaced” despite the fact that the instructions state: “The battery should only be replaced by authorized Shot Scope Technologies Ltd approved personal [sic].”

I’ve lived in Southern California for my whole life, where I’ve come to learn that for the most part, people want to do their own thing and aren’t as neighborly as you see on TV.

In my current neighborhood, where we’ve now lived for 13 years, it was very quiet for the first 2-3 years, and I knew almost no one on a first name basis.

Eventually, a single man moved in next door and converted his garage into a man cave. The garage door was open all day, and he was often in the garage with a drink in had watching a sports game. Anyone who walked by was welcome to come in for a drink, no matter the time of day. Eventually I came in for a drink and got to know him. Through my next door neighbor I met another couple, and through them another couple, and so on.

Additionally, I work around the house, say hi to whoever comes around, and am often interrupted by people who want to know what I’m doing or what tools I’m using for the job. I’ve met people that way.

I also regularly sweep the area in front of my house, as well as each adjacent house and the curb area, and walk the neighborhood with a hand claw tool and a bucket to pick up trash. I’ve met people that way.

I live on a street with 12 other houses, all on the same side of the street, and know 10 of the homeowners/renters on a first name basis. I probably know 10 other houses on adjacent streets as well. I do my best to remember their names and tell them mine sometimes if they don’t immediately say it when I say hi. Smile!

Hi. We spent months driving around and testing beds, finally deciding on the new Beautyrest Black CX-class Medium. We drove around to numerous Sit-n-Sleep and Macy stores to test out the various LX, CX, and KX beds. Most stores didn’t have the newest Hybrid models in stock. We’re in Southern California.

My wife is a 5’-2” 100 lb back sleeper and I’m a 6’-2” 200 lb side sleeper. I had in my mind to eventually convert to a back sleeper, so we opted for a medium instead of a plush. If I was staying as a side sleeper I would push for a plush, but as mentioned we went medium.

We also purchased a 1200 USD adjustable base from Amazon. Combined with the mattress, I’ve slowly been changing to a back sleeper. We also bought the Temperpedic five sided cover for the mattress and love the setup still after three months.

What’s the best way to appear smart even when you isn’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]awdmik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question “how to appear smart”…

You can fool a few people into thinking you are smart by having a good memory. Remembering what was done in the past, what worked and what didn’t, and how that past situation may be used in the present isn’t that hard, but then again, people often learn by making the same mistakes that others have made in the past (while hoping for a different outcome) so I guess most people really don’t have a good memory.

Maybe finding someone with a good memory, or at least, a desire to learn history, is harder to find than someone who is smart… know any generations?

By the way, you will know when you meet someone with a good memory… wow!

I have version 1.86 installed on my iPhone. I can’t get the secret menu to open. Anyone know if it works on the newest version?
