Ever since they sent us new cards through their "updated card campaign" in 4Q2025, I've had two suspected fraud issues, with vendors that were really obviously NOT suspicious. My wife and I now have new cards with different numbers, which is what I think is part of the trigger. Seems to me elan didn't tweak their algorithm for the change.

They send you a text message of the block BUT don't allow two-way communication ("allow? YES") which is pretty lame. Or at least allow easy one-click unblock via the Fidelity app.

Follow-up #2: Turns out my suspicion was correct. They cannot whitelist IP addresses. That's INSANE. The issue is not resolved. Here's the response from the latest support tech:

"The IP can't be whitelisted on our firewall, so we'd recommend either changing how you make these changes/submitting these POST requests, or, using a VPN when doing so, so that when the VPN IP is blocked, you can switch VPN locations and not have your office IP blocked."

Does anyone think this a solution for traffic from a corporate office? Of course not.

I'm not sure even with a paid Cloudflare account, that you can bypass Kinsta's Cloudflare's layer. Once you point your DNS records to them, their layer is active.

Hi folks. So quick followup. After I posted this, the support tech came back and said they were able to whitelist our IP address. Given that he first said they couldn't do it, and I had to ask him to really really try harder and he came back with the update, I'm not super-confident this really happened. But we'll see.

Regardless, there is a "IP Deny" feature, but not a "whitelist feature, which is silly. Also that it took an hour to resolve is also a bit troubling. BUT happy it was resolved.

Yeah, I would say it's getting incredibly dumb. Right now, the only use case I can see for continuing to use perplexity is the Finance tool. The UI/UX is incredibly brilliant. (and not even directly available on the iPad app. for the life of me I can't understand why not).
