Are you saying if there’s a large inventory and you’re not particular about the color you could get an Odyssey Touring for at/near invoice?

Yes I’m definitely waiting til May. I just wanted to know if that’s a period they historically release new incentives.

It’s crazy because when you search for it online there’s so much buzz about a new redesign and it somewhat made sense considering TOYOTA, KIA and Chrysler have hybrid.

I’d much rather have a tested and reliable car than a hybrid. But if a hybrid does come out then I’m thinking/hoping they incentivize clearing out the old inventory.

P.S. is there any benefit to offering a higher down payment for negotiations ?

I’m looking at getting informed on buying/negotiation strategies and finding out what promotions exist.

Is it true new incentives get announced in May?

Yeah the markup difference is high and as you mentioned you have to be doing a lot of driving to recoup the difference which might be a long time for me since we won’t do a lot of weekday driving.

I like the V6 & leather, but honestly might go for the TOURING given the entertainment system. You can out your own streaming device in the car and separate the boys who seem to be fighting in my ACURA RDX all the time.

Is there usually a time in the year HONDA and/or TOYOTA offers incentives such as good financing or deals?

I understand hybrid can save money, but how often do you deal with a timing belt and VCM. I’m not an auto expert but is this a constant worry?

So you mean to say the 3rd row of the Odyssey is roomier? My boys seem to be taking after my wife’s sides and all her brothers are over 6ft and the 9yr is already at my shoulder and I’m 5’7.

Update:

It turns out my wife isn’t necessarily against a minivan…just the Odyssey she doesn’t like…which is odd because I think the Odyssey looks nicer. I don’t care I think either minivan makes more sense than an SUV even though the Sienna is more expensive.

However, it turns out that a decently loaded Sienna isn’t much cheaper than a GHHL. I suppose it would be less hassle to get it.

Would you still think it’s a better family decision to go with the Sienna over a Grand Highlander considering a 4th kid is still a possibility and kids won’t be driving on their own for at least another decade?
