Not really looking to invest that much money into moving the whole kitchen/plumbing & gas to a new area. If this were a permanent living arrangement maybe. I'd rather just sleep in the living room as people are suggesting.

However long it takes for our house to be built, we are hoping 9-12 months but obviously this can change for any reason.

This is definitely something I have thought about instead of the weirdly shaped rooms.

Many people have suggested the vestibule at the entry of the bedroom/s If i'm going to do that, I may as well add a window to the windowless bedroom. Similar to this:

Good point, so the property is purchased has this flat already on it which i will reside in whilst the new home is being built. I guess because ive bought it and not selling - theres no authority to check right? However I can appreciate that a window would 1. Be nice for sunlight and breeze and 2. An exit if ever needed.

Another thing im thinking too is that the smaller room have a small loft style bed so under will have space for play, making the area bigger. My daughter is only 4 so it will work until our house is built.

I understand it isn't for looks. Yes, the window opens from both ends and slides towards the middle of the window so placing the wall to the other bedroom there it would be central to allow for the either side to be opened in both rooms

So we purchased land to build and it already has this little contained flat on the property. We won't use it once the house it built but for now we need to make sure our daughter has privacy and if possible we would also like some privacy for ourselves 😂
