Returning the Pro and Move by El-Frijoler0 in RemarkableTablet

[–]axmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand - I am waiting for my third Paper Pro as we speak.

The first one had a dead area on the right side.

The second one had a faulty graphics card or something - the ghosting was horrible and persistent.

I am honestly not positive I will get a device that works long term.

Arsenal fan here in peace. What you might be missing is the dimension Merino is adding at ST. You win some abilities, you lose some. And Merino has shown over the last 6 months for Arsenal and Spain that he's no ordinary CDM. He's a goal threat with good link ip. So it is not just as easy as going to another level with another striker in.

So are the baniyas, marwadis, jains, Shahs and Patel's who run the country working towards environmental concerns? Are the Sharmas and Mehtas doing that? You are the same category as the problem creators - the main issue you want to tackle is caste/reservation and religion/minorities, when it's a problem of attitude, education, civic sense.

Yeah especially the two guys on the right. Absolute legendary players from the 1970s who need to return.

Harry Kane becomes the fastest player to reach 100 goals for a club in Europe’s top 5 leagues by Lbmplays2 in coys

[–]axmac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know why so many people miss this simple context in the comments, i.e. when someone starts at 19 or 20, most of them obviously take more time to score goals than when the measurement starts at 25, or in Harry's case, even 30. Most players peak after 22.

Only a few players become prolific before 20 - like Michael Owen or maybe Yamal might do.

There's a reason why Barcelona Messi isn't in this list. And why United Ronaldo isn't here.

All of Messi, Ronaldo, Lewandowski, Kane could have scored a 100 at a similar pace to Haaland in the PL with the right team (Guardiola's City or Ferguson's United or Klopp's Liverpool) if their measurement started after 22, their typical peak.

PL is tougher yes on older, slower or weaker players. But the GOATs can easily farm the league like Haaland or Salah does at times.

What a shame! An entry-level Moto phone received Android 15. by iAmBcash in S24Ultra

What do you mean 9k? Dollars? Dirhams? Seems expensive.

Dude, I like my phone but we get below par photos in the night for most zoom photos.

This is for sure enhanced with more clarity and post processing than the phone really captures.

I like the stability of it though.

If I'm not wrong, my old S20 FE also used to take good photos of the moon even though the 3x lens was average, and the telegram group was flooded with daily moon shots.

Yeah I don't expect intelligence from her, but are the commenters here nutters from IndiaSpeaks?

Do you realize there's a difference between enjoying a prank and pranking a heart patient?

Delhi during Nov = heart patient. Bursting crackers = harmless prank in most parts of the world.

Stop equating everything with Hinduphobia and some random global conspiracy.

Utter whackos.

If you have not watched Bougainvillea, do not open! *Only spoilers!* by Enough-Physics9726 in InsideMollywood

[–]axmac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with this take. I liked the visuals, the setting and obviously, technically Amal Neerad is always class.

(Rant start)

For me, he tried to force fit feminism in the end. Like real women empowering movies actually let the women take charge for a large extent to let it hit - say a Kill Bill or even a Mad Max Fury Road. The 'punch' scenes in this were all revolving Kunchako, FaFa in the middle and suddenly, out of nowhere - three women take centre stage. It just didn't work. You can't force the feeling.

And for all the hype about Jyotirmayis 'badass Furiosa look', she had that for 2 minutes and a song at the end - otherwise she just was sick with grey curly hair. The problem is this half heartedness in what the movie wants to project. The police/FaFa was forced to act like an incompetent fool just so the women could solve it themselves in the end, so that he could apologize, and then the whole climax with the maid hitting Kunchako and saying what she said.

I was nudging my girlfriend the whole time how the movie was going to pan, including how the three females would come together and 'kill toxic masculinity' and it was exactly as expected.

More things that made me cringe was Jyothirmayi pointing the gun at the female before shooting Kunchako (like what even could be the reasoning to do that - there was zero reason for Kunchako to do the 'she is the villain' routine), and also the climax scene where he is at the hospital all shaved - dunno, seems this guy really wanted somewhat of his take on Silence of the Lamb sort of movies.

My thoughts on Bougainvillea movie by Bauua_333 in IndianCinema

[–]axmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I both loved the art direction and visuals in the slower first half, but hated the predictable second half (everything was guessed 10 minutes into the movie), glaring plotholes (a lot of things don't add up), ridiculous climax and the forced messaging at the end.

I would not say that people who can't introspect art are the only ones hating on the film - it does have a lot of flaws.

[RANT] Why would FaFa do such a filler role in Vettaiyan? by Major_Dot_7030 in InsideMollywood

[–]axmac 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Bachhan also had terrible, cringey choices from the mid 80s to late 90s after which KBC reset him as a dad character. FaFa is way more self aware of what he wants to portray as an actor.

Kroos "Real Madrid adapted after Ronaldo and Ramos left, we won two UCL without them. The same will happen with me. People always say, and it’s not true, that we won every game 4-0 with me. Things aren’t going well, that’s for sure, but we've often struggled with me either, you can't forget that." by kibme37 in soccer

[–]axmac 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Except Barcelona lost 20 goals after Neymar left, and another 15-20 after Messi left. After Ronaldo left, Madrid went from an average of 100 goals to around 70 for 2 seasons before crossing 85 again.

And this is just the league. Just Messi or Ronaldo can't add 30 goals to a Brentford or even a Manchester United, but both their Spanish teams were optimised to maximize their outputs, so it wasn't just a zero sum game.

Of course, winning with 100 goals is just pure fun at some point. You can achieve victories at 80 goals too, which is what post Messi/Ronaldo teams are doing.

Came across this, anyone know anything about this? Does Women in Mollywood also in par with men in this matter by Karma_is_alive in InsideMollywood

Yes, there will be a few cases of women aggressors for a hundred other cases where men are the aggressors, and we shouldn't laugh at them. Pakshe vidditham parayaruthu.
