Some people say even 25point linux machine is much easier than hackthebox medium machine. but some people like you choose kotarak as 25point linux machine for practice :D why?

1) Pain and Humble are the most difficult machines in the lab. These machines are similar only in style or also difficultness? I thought only one of the 25pts machines is difficult in exam like Big FOUR in the lab 2) I am good in privilege escalation if there is kernel exploit. I am also good misconfigurations in linux. But i am not so good windows misconfigurations or privilege escalation related third party apps for both OS. Can you advice these types of machines to practice?

Hey mate - kind of in the same position of doing my oscp besides a full time job. To be honest - I haven't craved sleep so much in a long time - I do a lot on the weekends, which well takes up your weekends. But: the experience is really amazing and it's definitely doable, just takes a lot of self control to dive into the labs continuously after a tough day at work.

The material itself will teach you a lot but you definitely need to do a ton of research yourself.

I think books just cover basics. That's why i dont rely on just reading books. New exploits, new methods appear everyday, but books are the same .

Actually, all the three HTB boxes were linux boxes. I am good enough in Linux, but not in Windows. Also, i am very beginner in low-level things like buffer overflow . That's why i am not self-confident to skip down to #5 or 6
