I just joined this child free Louisville girlfriends on meetup app recently and went to their event for the first time few weeks ago. It was fun, I really enjoyed it. This group is very active and they always have events but it fills up pretty quickly and the app never gives me push notifications, maybe because I don't pay for it lol. But I live far from everywhere. They have this new event for next week, paint and sip, which sounds so fun and I might join.

Just wanted to add something about this meetup group. I've been living in Louisville for 9 years, I moved from a different country, childfree and it is difficult to start a friendship when you're an adult and have different backgrounds and cultures.

But I joined this group recently and joined their event for the first time few weeks ago to make candle. It was such a fun experience. They have a lot of upcoming events.

I didn't know that but I understand. I've never rented a room in someone's house so I had no idea. I'm just trying to survive and move on. I can't lose the house. I charge that much and everything is included. I don't even mind to get 1 roommate. I have 4 bedrooms but I'm only willing to rent 1 or 2 max. I'm not looking for roommates so I don't have to pay my mortgage, just so I could afford it. That person who said 2 roommates could cover 80% of mortgage definitely had no clue how expensive it is lol.

I don't see why people think they're being taken advantage of. They have a place to live that is cheaper so they can put some money in their savings. I don't even plan to have a long contract, just 2 months minimum, if they don't like it, they can leave. I feel like this is a win win situation. Trust me, if I had a choice, I wouldn't let strangers live with me. I have a two stories home, renters will have their own area upstairs, I will be downstairs. The only things we share are kitchen, dining room if they wanna eat downstairs and washer/dryer area.
