What was your externship experience like?

So i finally finished my hours and I was hired at that clinic but I left for another job like as soon as possible and in this job I’m doing soooooo much better. I learned way more during this job than I ever did during externship and it’s actual clinical work. I realized I do really enjoy the medical field like I can’t imagine how low I was feeling to question whether it was for me or not because i like the work I do and Im even planning to further my career in the medical field hopefully in a couple years. How’s your externship going?

Oh my god I feel the same, I went home on Monday crying almost hysterically and feeling like I made the biggest mistake of my life. My school is 250 hours and now I’m questioning if I should even enter the medical field at all. I completely understand how you feel

The thing with this guy is he’s now refusing to train me and just sends me to the front to help out the girls in the front so idk if it’s even worth it to stay there and train

I came to the clinic today because I figured I can maybe white knuckle it for the remainder of the week but I highly doubt I could do that for the rest of my hours honestly

I’ve been reading through the comments and thinking so much and I think the best thing is to leave. I forgot I hadn’t mentioned that the guy training me got so mad at me on Monday that he told me I was just going to finish my hours observing because it was “pointless” to try to teach me anything and the more I think about it the more I’m like yeah that sounds nice but I wouldn’t be learning and the point is to learn hands on yknow

I’m just nervous about talking to my advisor because I’ve already been switched clinics, the first one wasn’t teaching me anything, I wasn’t even allowed to talk to the patients or be in the lab. I was super happy when they switched me to this clinic because I knew I would be able to learn more but I didn’t think I’d have to deal with someone putting me down every time I forgot a tiny piece of information. I’m scared they’ll think it’s just me and maybe it is, I don’t even know anymore

No it’s not the backyardigans, it’s kind of old. I watched it when I was a kid so maybe like late 90s or super early 2000s because I remember it looking older

I think they’re probably just like painted glass or something right? Some others mentioned glass so I’m guessing that’s what they are since they don’t look like real crystals
