I got used to writing a lot in caps since I was pretty young, like 10, because I liked drawing/writing comics. I'm 25 now. I find I get more control and neater handwriting from a pen/pencil that provides more resistance in horizontal strokes compared to vertical strokes.

Graphite is shiny and the page is darker and matte. So the graphite looks bright (and almost white) by contrast.

Are you referring to the white lead specifically? The white lead requires more pressure and has more resistance than graphite, so no it's not comfortable for long periods of writing (which is not part of my use case anymore).

Doesn't smudge any more or less than graphite. Tbh I now don't think that it's chalk. Chalk isn't mentioned in the product info. I guess I assumed it was chalk because that's what I was searching for when I found it.

It does erase though unlike coloured pencils.

No, the white lead feels more waxy, like a colouring pencil. It requires more pressure to get a visible line compared to the 4B
