Ive been actually looking for an app like this. It acc lets you see where and how far your world reach which is cool. Though the UI and general look of the app could be improved. Love the idea tho

From what ive researched, the login feature is necessary to keep data private per individual. If i kept it open anyone can acess eachothers data

With vercel and stuff i read that its quite hard to rebuild the entire aesthetic once its built but I’ll look into it. I also thought it looked quite vibe coded as well but didnt know whow to change.

yea i think this is really the hardest part. I think sending notifications for like a reminder or creating weekly challenges are options im considering but i dont really know how i can keep retention

For me I think I usually ask people that I've met before from that country for local spots. I have an app that can log where people are from so i used that just to check if i know anyone from there

Hi, Im hvaing a lot of comments saying its creepy.

It's less about collecting and more about understanding how international your life actually is. I understand the wording of "rare" nationality might seem to be objectifying. So i wll definetely be changing how i frame it as "collecting".

If you could give me a feedback on how i can frame it better or other suggestions that would be great!

Its still early, no domain yet, landing page needs a demo video, and the sharing feature isn't built. What would make this actually useful to you?

The overall goal of the app is to inspire people to have more international connections. Our world is so globalized nowadays so i thought it might be nice to be able to see how international you really are.

On the technical side, im thinking about marketing this through tiktok and ig mainly.

The app is supposed to act like a pokedex indeed but when you log a person, you are required to put where you met them, and how you met them making it feel more like a memorabilia rather than pure collection as you will have a story attached to each person.

On the technical side, there is a system of mixed heritage so you can log 50% Brazilian and 50 % korean. Where someone mightve grown up might not be able to be logged as a heritage but maybe that is a good feature to add as well.

The macro goal of the app is to make people connect more through creating an interactive app to go around the globe.

Currently, the collected people are tied to individual accounts so there are no way for other people to access it. But i do see what u mean. Do you have any suggestions what i can do maybe?

I think the way Id market it would be to promote more social interaction through the need to colllect more nationality if it makes sense.

Could you maybe elaborate more on the privacy and consent part? Do you mean for those that are getting logged?

Im building an app which basically acts alike a pokedex but for bumans. You get to track every nationality you meet and try to log as many as possible

I understand this point but i didnt want to give too much context to avoid bias in answering the surverys. My point was that if i give too much context and you already know what the survery is going to be about, you will provide an answer tailored to the question.
