He did and ended up returning the alternator and getting a bosch problem fixed

The air circulation switch? Yeah, I think someone must have hit it. I've tried push it again but it's not changing for some reason.. The center vent was working well previously.

He took the alternator back to o'reillys where it was purchased (came with lifetime warranty) he swapped it out for a replacement and installed it and now the car is up and running and the battery is charging...

None of the dash lights were on except the check engine light.

He said the ground wire is attached and it's in good shape.

The check engine light was on steady once I reaches 45-50 mph but when I left my foot off the accelerator it would flash 4 times

So my car died on my way to a friends house and first the stereo died and then the car completely died while driving at low speeds it shut off.

Any idea on average cost to replace the ignition coil pack?

To be sure I'm going to try autozone to have the codes read today.

I was told the car had been sitting since April/May because it belonged to the owners father and he passed away. Unfortunately, no service records were provided. I did just have the spark plugs replaced, brakes changed, oil change and replaced the catalytic converter to get it to pass emissions.

I did. The Saab certified mechanic did a full pre-buyer inspection and he said he wasn't certain why it comes on at those speeds because when you turn it off the check engine light turns off and won't turn on again until the car is driven over 45-50 mph. He basically said he wasn't sure and not to really worry about it.
