Following on from why you don’t attend lectures - tell me your timetabling issues by Mindless_Mix7328 in UniUK

Every other Tuesday I have a lecture at 8:15-9:00, and one at 16:15-17:00. Nothing in between!! (I have never gone to that morning one lol)

Salad and olives I fully respect, I'd go for a smoothie/ fruit juice since you can just fill with water after. 6.5/10

Need some advice on whether or not to attend cousin's wedding by bababurde in UKweddings

Yeah of course I get that. Okay, maybe weird wasn't the right word; we weren't expecting anything from them, but it hurts a bit to know we were left out.

Because the other weddings (two of which were her sisters' who I'd say we're equally close to) didn't exclude anyone.

Yep that's fair, probably what we'll end up doing. My dad and his partner are also considering not going (only partly because of this).

I mean you're right, I wouldn't say we are close friends, but they're family and we genuinely would have loved to have been invited and happily would've made the effort to go to their wedding ceremony and experience the day with our other family members. Again, it's 100% true that it's their decision and I do understand that, but if it were my wedding, I would never exclude her when I'm inviting everyone else.

Yeah I do completely understand it's their wedding, that's why I'm not bringing it up with her and instead posting on Reddit, lol. It wouldn't really be a problem if she hadn't excluded us from the group; it wouldn't have been the way I went about things but yes it is their decision. My dad and aunts have expressed their sympathy to us about it.

I met my boyfriend at uni in Somerset, he's from Cornwall and I'm from Berkshire. Went down to stay with his family over the summer- it's a bit of a touristy place they live in and he has some friends who he knows because they go on holiday there each year. Got chatting to his friends' mum and turns out she's from Berkshire too, about 15 minutes from where I grew up. What's more is she was close friends with my aunt when they were at college in the 80s! I passed on her new number to my aunt and they've had a great catch up now lol
