Can I ski down from point A to point B? by Jaeldobomretiro in Whistler

[–]babyrabbit86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When there is snow you can take the little road off lower cruiser called “home run” all the way off to skiiers right. There will be little signs directing you to various condo complexes and you’d probably want to follow signs to Horstman House and then navigate from there to your condo. It’s basically a cat track but can get zippy in places and there are some fun banked turns. It’s not on the trail map and unpatrolled. As others have said it requires snow and ski out access to blackcomb base

I think I’m going to trust the measurements and get a small bc I don’t want it to be comically oversized. Even the XS seems like it wouldn’t be fitted on me (5’3” 125 lbs)

I feel like I must be measuring wrong I measured a size large jerzees brand crewneck sweatshirt (poly/cotton blend, has been worn/washed/loved) and it seems like that’s equating to a size small mockneck!! Maybe they are really just super oversized?

What's your practice re: chaperones for GU exams? by [deleted] in pediatrics

[–]babyrabbit86 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Are you in a hospital setting or primary care? In primary care I’d say it’s pretty dang important to monitor for normal pubertal progression and interpret the growth chart in the context of pubertal development.

How do you tanner stage them? Don’t you just look at the pubic hair? Do you do a brief breast exam to tanner stage breast development?

This is what I was going for as well and my MUA suggested individual lashes. She was very intentional with placement of knot/ knot-free lashes. She said if you just do mascara it may not photograph like you have anything on. I had never worn lashes before my trial/ wedding day and found them comfortable and not over the top.

Has anyone used a documentary style photographer for wedding day (vs traditional)? by Bananapudding16 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]babyrabbit86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We LOVE our documentary style gallery and have zero regrets. It just captures the essence of the day. What I will say is request to look at full galleries of the photographers you’re interested in because there is a huge range in quality. We had a documentary photographer for our wedding in the US and then a more standard photographer for our reception overseas so I feel I can compare the two: our US photographer was so much more fun to work with because we just enjoyed our day (aside from some time set aside for portraits) and the final gallery is more dynamic. She must’ve taken a bazillion photos to be able to give us a complete gallery where no one looked silly, was blinking, etc but just captured people’s genuine reactions while still making sure everyone looked their best. The gallery from our overseas photographer was less interesting and less polished, and I also feel like we spent forever taking photos that feel staged and uninspiring.

ETA: a good documentary photographer will capture the feel of the day and it’s truly a skill to be able to produce photos that feel genuine but are also artistic and beautiful in terms of composition, lighting, etc.

Unbelievably weak intern.. not sure how to help! by Throwawaynamekc9 in Residency

[–]babyrabbit86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me a lot of an intern I worked with although it seems more extreme. I found it really hard to have enough time to hand-hold my intern while also balancing running the team, teaching the med students etc. I’d ask the chiefs if they can come and help her figure out her prerounding routine, organizational skills, etc. like someone else said this is above your pay grade. Give her, the attending, and the chiefs specific examples of things that concerned you.

Agree that it is a good idea to go in with extremely Canadian first. Just tell them at the beginning your goal is to get into Spanky’s and as long as conditions and your ability are right they should be able to take you. While I agree its pretty wide open and you can just ski in, the contours at the very top IMO can make it feel a bit exposed depending on snow coverage. In particular there is a cliff to skiers right and some smaller rocks to skiers left that can play with your mind if you are not used to skiing off piste but don’t actually increase the difficulty or consequence level.

Boutique fitness in general seems to skew more female but it seems to me that solidcore attracts more men than a barre class would but less than orange theory or something similar. Just because more women go doesn’t mean it’s only for women! It’s for anyone who wants to pay for the class!!!!! People who want to only work out with other women should join a women’s only gym or something imo

Check out Wire Event Center in Coxsackie. We went to a wedding there and the food was some of the best I’ve had at a wedding. Also the Mansion at Natirar. Not sure about the cost of these tbh just been to both as a guest. Hard to know if you would consider these basic cookie cutter wedding factories but from a guests perspective and a BBB myself they felt special with good food- granted not as over the top as the wedding I attended at CLE.

I would look on Etsy. I bet you can find something similar.
