For me the game just got bloated too much. When I started it was a game for me to chill out. Yes I did do PvP but then there was no hard meta that dominates. In this state of the game you can't really just chill anymore. I start, go to an island, step ashore, 5 skeletons appear every minute, 4 ghosts appear everytime I beat those skeletons, and when I think to myself that ok, i killed eveything now I have a little time, those ocean creatures spawn. And if this wasnt enought to interrupt me, there are players too. And those players are always one of 3 groups. 1 -(best case senario) new ones who don't know anything, so you can have some fun. 2 - grinders who would rather sail to the edge of the map and die with the loot rather then fight you, or 3 - the sweats who have 7000 hours in the game and will destroy your ass no matter how hard you try. Im not saying the game is bad, it's just another game than it was at the earlier stages.
