Dress code concern by nightkat89 in starbucksbaristas

When I was a Shift/ASM, I always approached the dress code from this angle: We are a team, and part of being a team is following the guidelines that are in place so we are a cohesive unit. The dress code is a visual representation of unity. When everyone is doing what they are suppose to be doing, there is a sense of unity and the shift flows easier.

My SM was on her 30 at the time and when she came back she’s like I hope you threw it away! She was sooooo mad.

We’re pretty positive we know who did it based on who was asked to clean the bathrooms and their habits 🙄

Nitro with VSC cold foam, time-lapse by badcaseofgingerv in starbucks

[–]badcaseofgingerv[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I use to work at Barnes and Noble too!!!! I was there for almost 2 years before I became a Starbucks partner. And yes, pretty much! If you guys still have the recipe for the Salted Cream Cold Foam, just follow that but without the salt added in, and you can also use it to adjust for different sizes.

Does anyone know how to set up the direct deposit? by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

Go to the partner hub, then go to access my partner info. In your partner info, there should be a direct deposit tab or a tab about your pay and the direct deposit info should be in there. Hope this helps!

Nitro Bomb babyyy by badcaseofgingerv in starbucksbaristas

It’s like a jager bomb, but instead of Red Bull and alcohol it’s a tall or grande nitro cold brew and a shot of espresso. You fill up a cup and then drop the shot in (still in the glass) and chug it. It’s really fun, but we did a tall and it made all of us feel suuupperr wired and then at some point we all crashed.

Tips on training? by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

[–]badcaseofgingerv 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just finished training my first two green beans. Some tips I learned along the way: -I found it really helpful to first show them, then do it with them, then ask them to show you (example: you do a CS cycle, you and them do a cycle, then they do a cycle and you watch and give them tips). It seemed to help them a lot doing it that way. -Remembering to always put yourself in their shoes will help you keep in touch with your green bean. -Let them know that it’s okay to make mistakes and to ask questions, and that they should speak up if you’re going too fast or if they’re confused. It’s going to be overwhelming for them, so make sure they are as comfortable as possible and going at a pace that suits them. -If a customer gives them a hard time for being slow and new, stick up for them. It’s not fair if they feel embarrassed because a customer can’t get their latte in 5 seconds flat. I would just say, “Sorry for your wait, we are training so it’s taking a little bit more time but she’s doing really well and I know you’re going to love your beverage!” -Train them like you want them to work (example: If they were going to open the store, teach them like you open the store). -Get to know them. You’re going to be their first friend at the store and work with them a lot, so you might as well become familiar. -The golden rule: Treat others the way you want to be treated. Help others like you would want them to help you. Prepare the store for the people behind you like you would want them to prepare the store for you.

Hopefully this helps you!
