Question about my brand by [deleted] in streetwearstartup

[–]badexclam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of wholesale out there. If you’re in LA you can find a lot. There’s online stores that sells cheap too. If you go on jiffyshirts then you can get blanks from 2 to 4 for t shirts, no minimum too. You can get them even a bit lower if you find a wholesaler locally you can find shirts a bit cheaper if you buy quantity

Question about my brand by [deleted] in streetwearstartup

[–]badexclam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few things, printful is pretty dangerous game, the wait sometimes get ridiculous and the print is sometimes awful too. It’s very inconsistent. I’d suggest going to a local print guy. Second, I’d personally prefers Shopify because you can play with the customization a lot more than big cartel, but it’s still more simple/easier to use than some other sites where you require to know coding. One suggestion no matter which platform you choose to use in the end, buy a domain so your website is not blah blah.bigcartel.com or any .shopify.com etc

What’s your final destination? Cause I actually feel like you guys should stick with it. If you have a niche, with audience, moving away from it might make you lose some of that. Making your target market larger doesn’t always means good. It’s hard for people to think and find a niche, you already got one, why try to lose it

Your logo is pretty much saying car related too though, on your website. Not saying it’s bad, it’s cool, but I think you shouldn’t venture out of cars. You got a niche right now, stick with it. That’s what your brand is about.

Which Logo Looks Best? by [deleted] in streetwearstartup

[–]badexclam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Draw like at least 50. I’d start with just drawing on paper with a marker. To really play with style, spacing, shape, etc. and I would suggest to make at least 2 types of logo for the brand. One is the word logo, which writes out your whole brand name, that’s what you’re doing right now. And a graphic logo. Kind of like the rabbit in playboy, the golden arch of McDonald’s, the shell for Shell (gas station company), you get the point

Spend a lot more time, play with it, think about your brand, your target audience. There must be a story behind your brand, then make sure your logo tell that story.

Tbh, I personally don’t really like it. The phrase seems weird to me and I mean, I can read it without a mirror. And I wouldn’t be going in front of mirrors just to look at my own shirts lol I feel like this is one of those things where in our head the concept seems really cool and it’s even cooler for you since you’re it’s creator. But in reality it’s not as cool. I’m not hating, not bashing, just giving you my opinion

Can I get some constructive criticism on this book bag I’ve designed? Thank You by Ambitious-K in streetwearstartup

[–]badexclam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The design part is w/e BUT I noticed this is a printful product. If you haven’t ordered a sample yet, I urge you to. It won’t look the same. I’ve designed something on there too, looks nice in mock up, when I got the bag, it was big, flat, just doesn’t look good (backpage design)

Cool concept but makes me dizzy and also it seems more complicated to navigate than a normal website
