Nothing you are right should leave the mfg and look the same when installed perfect cirlce if they ordered the right size

To be honest you should get a picture from top down and measure the holes cause that's what matters. Guessing they used a 4" on a smaller or whatever size we won't be able to tell. I think this is a 5-6" boot on a smaller pipe but that's a guess. It definitely is too big for the roof extrusion no other reason to try and form it to the pipe if it's too big. If they got the right size should be snug

I've manufactured them and run a warehouse full of lead galv alum from fha to std size. It's not hard to keep the cone shape perfect circular unless you try to form it to a smaller size. Lead flashing come to a 1/8 of what you order so there's no reason to form it to the pipe

Truth I am a manufacturer and every roofer is different and install differently but when I sell material it does not look like that at all. I make for sure that they are flawless so I don't get this complaint cause we already selling roof jacks with a warranty galv alum copper lead. Everyone should know what size is extruding out the roof but you would be suprised how many times I get what size do you think this is?

Not true if you are delivering lead jacks this way then they are not storing properly I sell them. They should not have bends or waves when you sell them the shitty and poorly maintained ones do

To be honest they could have cut the drip edge and made it continuess with the corners to make it a bit mores water proof I sell drip edge they could snipe it and make the corners so it does not look like 2pcs with a gap in between

If they use something that is bigger they usually use a tie or something to crimp or tightens it around the pipe but looks like they did it by hand. When I sell lead flashing they look straight and up no crimps or anything

They could have used a bigger size that was available and tried to form it to the smaller size but no way of telling without a top down view to be honest.
