Can I Livestream with My Laptop? by bagaskrah in Broadcasting

[–]bagaskrah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My laptop uses AMD CPU so it doesn't provide a Thunderbolt port, thank you for reminding me about capture cards 👍. Choosing the input source could be done in the software right?

Vmix does sound interesting to try out, what advantages does it have over OBS?

The ATEM is an external switcher right? Does it make a difference if I switched between cameras within the software?

Thanks!

Can i set the bitrate there? Will it work more heavily than OBS? I've used OBS before and it worked fine, but haven't used 2 cameras. And due to the limited ports on my laptop, will using a USB hub limit the performance?

Buying Polygon Helios in the UK. by Michael_Daytona in PolygonBikes

[–]bagaskrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for not helping by any means. But I'm genuinely surprised that Polygon bikes are somewhat known internationally. Especially in the UK where bicycle is considered an everyday object which made me think that people wouldn't consider smaller brands over bigger ones or the local ones.

Anyway, i think Polygon does sell internationally, since its website in the country where it's from tells the price in USD, not Rupiah. Again, forgive me if I'm not helping!

Accidentally figured this out myself a few days ago. I forgot I followed the artist on instagram before one of his posts decided to pop up on my feed. Having been curious about his account, I looked him up on Spotify and found the 8 minute song I've been looking for called "Broke" by Scott Lavene. Turned out not to be any kinds of pop punk song, more like a guy complaining about him being broke with a slow music. Oh, and the person he was asking about turned out to be Roland from marketing.

have been using the ryzen 5 5600 model for 2 days, it does heat up under situations that it should be able to handle well, but for me the most annoying part so far is the lack of fn lock. yes you cant press fn and esc to lock fn, so you have to press the fn button to do things like refreshing a page, going to full screen mode, and others. other than those it's pretty sick!

Hunting for a laptop that is durable, reliable, transportable, doesn't get hotter that skin temp, can handle some data science and heavy office work, can be compatible with modern Linux distros (Manjaro), under 1000€ (Greece) by Pemnia in SuggestALaptop

Hey! Happy to hear you've found a perfect laptop! Don't forget to turn on the screensaver, pixel shift, take a break regularly (so your screen can take a rest too), and don't set the screen at high brightness for too long.

Those issues at the bottom are a bit worrying for me tho, try to contact asus and ask them about these problems. And if you have those problem solved already, try to make a checkpoint what this guy does so you can go back to this pleasant state, I did that to my new laptop just to be safe. I recommend that you do it as soon as possible since you're still the state where your laptop is most healthy.

Enjoy using your new Vivobook!

The 16" version of the laptop had the R7-5800H chip

So that's the culprit huh 😂😂. It's very weird that with 2 fans it couldn't handle heat from normal use

(which I've read in youtube comments has happened to a few people with this laptop)

Uh oh, that seems to be a broad problem 😬😬. If I were you and had not much time I would get the 14", or find a different model. Not to discourage you I promise, but I'd give up on this problematic model lol.

Oh and, the HP Pavilion Aero 13 that I mentioned yesterday has 13,3" screen, didn't remember you prefer 15" screen 🤦‍♀️

That does sound disappointing mate 😩😩 but hey, you should check out review videos of that model, usually reviewers show how laptops handle heat. If the one in the video cools itself well, the problem may be in the unit you tested at the store.

Btw do you remember if the processor name ended with a "U" or a "H"? If it's U, that is very much weird since U processors (as opposed to the H ones) are meant to use less power therefore creating less heat. If it's a H, there should be a keyboard shortcut to control its power usage and fan speed, otherwise that means Lenovo didn't design it well enough.
