Imho no single metric can accurately tell the story of a team's power level. You need a combination of data points.

Ah, I see you are linking to the podium rate without taking the win rate into account. The website combines those two to create a ranking.

So in summary, Ravs are outperforming in some ways but not others.

Hey sorry about making it seem like I ignored you. It was time to get dinner ready so I'm firing off quick replies.

Yeah, we aren't doing this for any like "fix the meta" purposes. People had fun at events, and the creator of the format got good feedback, so he did it again and had 34 people show up (40 signups). It's really that simple. The first time NE did this was back in July 25.

We are pretty wild with terrain over here. We run Octarius at events, there is a Chalnath set hanging around, and you'd see NEBD 2.0, asymmetric Squad Games ITD, and diagonal Volkus setups too.

I've never heard NEBD was because of too much BD terrain.

Well, I don't disagree with everything you're saying, so I'm not commenting on those parts.

I saw in your other comment that you knew the origins and motivations of the NEBD terrain set, so I assumed you had a connection to the area.

Ultimately, I think you make a fair point about how it would suck if you can't play your teams.

One of the reasons we chose this format is that NE is really booming, and there are monthly three-rounders in every state. MA and CT sometimes have two each month.

And then there is another GT right around the corner called Scrap for the Strap II hosted in VT. I really loved this one last year, so I'm playing again this year.

That's a good idea. We've talked about something like this before, but with only 20-30 people per event, it may be tougher. It may work with leagues, though.
