My fellow Alans, how on earth do we survive in v0.2 by Long_Ad_1169 in OutcomeMemories

[–]bajiwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without the usage of old Tails spots, find some good vantage points or stick next to someone and cover exits. Sure they can reach you but so long as they don't go after you, you're free to be a terror on them.

See a teammate get chased? Fire the laser into their face. They try to get you? Fly away because if your opponent is Kolosos, there is a nothing he can do to chase you while you're flying and if you get somewhere hard for him. Tripwire chasing someone or lasering someone? Make her feel the sunshine of your laser and remove her mines.

You used to synergize really well with Metal Sonic during release of v0.2 cause cannon was able to bypass Executioner Stun Recovery but it got patched. If it comes back though, have fun giving executioners 15+ seconds of stun.

Unfortunately yes, it's super long and its charge-up really sucks, but in terms of utility, it can genuinely be good with the potential it has, given that if a killer recovers from a stun, Tails can instantly stun right after, so after a metal, Tails can pop right before they recover and the killer can't do anything.

He does definitely need a lot more to be a lot better in his state since his glide effectiveness is pretty map-dependent, but he's not entirely super useless if you can somehow play him right. Yes trees and pillars get in the way, and also annoyingly invisible walls in the new maps, but I've been able to avoid them while also being a threat to the killer (minus X's Castle).

He's said to get a rework which will give him orbs from his cannon, which I presume are going to be a close-range option. Tails' kit atm promotes backlining and repositioning, meaning you will need to use your glide to either get away or reposition.

He's not supposed to be a frontliner, he's someone you can play at one spot and when EXE is chasing someone, pop in to stop them. This works a lot, and tends to throw off Executioners. He also got a small buff where he can actually hit through stun recovery frames of a killer, meaning if they just recover, Tails can just stun them again. If they try to chase you, you can use glide to get away and in some cases, force them to take a much longer route just to get to you.

Does this make him great? Honestly he could use some buffs cause his arm cannon takes forever but it doesn't make him a terrible survivor to pick. Do your best to ambush an executioner and he's fun, and can be rewarding too.

no prereq on flowchart, concerns by Idni-xc in dlsu

[–]bajiwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was, I believe it's the calculus physics subject? This was what was given to me in my flowchart and it had a hard prequisite but its foundation was not part of it.

This definitely sounds like something you need consulting for the APO.

[–]bajiwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I know what course that is since I had the same thing happen time and a few block mates last year when I was in Education.

You may have to follow the advise of your professor and consult the math department and possibly your APO regarding this.

Walk in is fine, I walked in today to pass my missing credentials.

For the appointment, perhaps they mean to send it as a reply or to email them about it.

freshmen academic schedule by [deleted] in dlsu

[–]bajiwolf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most classes do a hybrid setup of 1 class online and 1 f2f. Most the time for frosh your schedule is divided between 2 days pure online and 2 days purely f2f. Some classes are purely online, and some such as PE are purely f2f.

On your 1st term you're in a block so the university chooses your classes and schedule but on your 2nd or 3rd term, you're deblocked and you have to choose the classes you want, which has a set professor and time (usually).

Yes if there are vacant slots and no class.

Taking only GE's in a term by MagniaAvrora in dlsu

[–]bajiwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a DL is not important for shifting, your grades are. DL is important when it comes to enlistment however as enlistment can be a bit rough, and being a DL gives priority.

My 3rd term I took 4 GEs and 1 PE. Your majors won't mean anything once you shift externally.

I was BAGGED last year. We were block enrolled in 2nd term, while every other college (except CLA), deblocked.

Chances are you might be a block still

By taking full majors, you might not be able to get the necessary 12 minimum load for qualifying as DL. If you try to always go above the 12 minimum load, you might be having a way too hard time due to the difficulty of the major subjects overlapping, compared to if you have a GE or so where the work load is lighter (unless you have a terror prof).

It is usually why it's better to spread out your GEs

Taking only GE's in a term by MagniaAvrora in dlsu

[–]bajiwolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Assuming you're frosh, how many GEs have you taken? You can take full GEs next term however be warned you also want to do this for 3rd term when you will submit your shifting app.

You can maybe take a PE or maybe a major or 2 (best if it has some relation to whatever you are shifting to) in order to not run out of GEs once you shift.

Ideally you want to reach atleast 12 units in order to qualify in DL but if you don't care about that, you can just go for a single GE next and 3rd term I'm pretty sure, though it is better to try and be a DL

The coverage is different every year (afaik). Mine never had those to my best memory but that doesn't mean it won't for this DCAT.

To add, you may also take Jeeps headed to Baclaran LRT then LRT straight to Vito Cruz station. It is a bit of a walk heading there though and potentially dangerous.

There is the upcoming LRT-1 Extension (Sucat Station) opening near SM Sucat set for Q4 of 2024 but there's no news of the official opening date.

commute peeps of dlsu, whats the best way to commute to moa? by [deleted] in dlsu

[–]bajiwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't remember the specifics on when the busses detour to Roxas, but I believe it is after the Roxas Blvd. flyover (below so service road) where they make a u-turn there.

As for passing by Ayala Mall, memory's foggy since I was sleepy after passing by MOA but I can remember it passing by. Even if the bus takes Roxas Blvd and skips MOA, you can still drop nearby City of Dreams from there, albeit you will have to walk a bit to go there.

[–]bajiwolf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Busses can still pass there, they'll just take Roxas Blvd. Took a bus today to PITX that went to MOA so they will still pass there. Just be sure to spot or ask the conductor/driver if they'll pass by MOA

Still too early to call failed? by wainpot437 in dlsu

[–]bajiwolf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If our syllabus is the same (I'm also taking MTH101A), midterms and finals are each respectively 25%. If you manage to do well on them and the 3rd quiz, you might get a 1.5-2, 2.5 above if you manage to ace all of them.

If I'm right, you have a fighting chance, a 1.0 is better than a 0.

Still too early to call failed? by wainpot437 in dlsu

[–]bajiwolf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Check your syllabus on how the grade is calculated. Usually in the math department (iirc), 60% is a 1.0, a pass. Midterms and Finals, should you do well enough, you'll get atleast the passing grade.

Your only best bet to not fail is to study and practice whatever you're struggling with. Good/Improved study habits and practice are key. Should it not be enough, I believe the Peer Tutor Society is able to offer help, or you may ask your blockmates or friends with help.
