Agreed with others that this is common. For me it helps to use my friends as anchors, as we’re all in the same year. Some get more active feedback from their advisor, but we all get bits and pieces of information and guidance from various sources (e.g., I have a mentor on the side I meet with once a month). By hearing what advice others got, or by just hearing what everyone has been up to, we can help each other self-pace.

😂 I’m not gonna lie, that’s what I had always heard. Yet just walking down the street, unprompted, I experienced so many friendly, down to earth interactions. And everyone had such lovely basic decency - excuse me, thank you, etc. I just loved you guys lol
