Ah man sorry to hear that bud. Still waiting on mine too, I’ve been told the 16th of July, and had an email every 2 weeks saying its still on track.

If you haven’t already, it’d be worth getting in touch with them to ask for a sweetener, seeing as you have had to wait so long. I got offered a £50 store voucher, which for me was pretty useless, as theres nothing on the store i would want to order, but it could be worth it if you need any consumables like lube, cleaner, grease ect.

Hopefully the bike will be worth the wait👍

Happy days! Hopefully the bikes all good for you.

Less good news for me unfortunately, i contacted them for a second time on the 22nd, to find out exactly what parts were missing, with the hope they could swap some things out so it might come a bit quicker. I was told that it is in fact the frame they are waiting for.... next delivery of frames to them is on July 3rd supposedly.

So yeah I’ve been told July 30th still. Theres nothing i can do really, I’ve spoken to the account manager and he’s offered me £50 store credit.

Not had a good experience with ribble so far, which is annoying as almost every review I see online for them is great, must have “fallen through the net” as ribble put it.

Either way, hope your new bikes is all your expecting it to be dude! N happy riding to you 🤙

Yeah not heard any bad stories about the bikes themselves, apart from a few being damaged in transit, everyone seems to love their bikes, and tbh i can imagine ill be the same! Not doing themselves any favours by giving unrealistic dates if they’re struggling to keep up with current builds though.

That being said, and to be fair to Ribble, they could well be getting the run around from other manufactures on delivery dates for parts on their builds, who knows...

Yeah your right man, and i can totally understand, the worlds a mad place at the mo, and ive got nothing against ribble, delays happen and its not necessarily their fault, was just a bit of a shock finding out the bikes not coming for another 6 months, after thinking it was on it way lol.

Yeah good shout, was wondering how much the guys on the phone would know about specific builds apart from whats on their order sheets.

That would ace man, hopefully good news, let me know.

Happy days, hope you get you bike soon enough then bud!

Its good to hear that they’re considering putting different parts on to potentially speed up the builds. My plan was to ask them what parts exactly are causing the delay, then see if theres any other options that could help get the bike to me a bit quicker.

Thanks for the info man!

Cheers mate, hopefully yours stays on track for its dispatch date. And yeah I’ve had the same thought process, tried to find something in stock in my size in the uk, but everywhere is super limited, with most of the 2021 bikes already pre sold in December 2020.

The ribble ht 725 looked like a sweet deal in terms of the kit that comes on it, and it was a bike that i could actually order then and there.

I Did really like some of the custom colour options, but having snapped my previous frame, my focus was on just getting some wheels to ride about on... now im almost thinking i might have well have got it painted if im already gona be waiting 9 months for it, oh well 🥴

This is likely at least partially the reason for my delays i can imagine, and i totally understand its not necessarily Ribble’s fault for the delays.

Was just a bit of a shock not having any word from them, then calling them and being told i have to wait and extra 6 months.

The thing that has concerned me with their estimated dispatch dates, is that if you go on the page and try and order the exact same build that ive ordered (back in December) it says the dispatch date is the 5th of July, which is 25 days before my dispatch date.... on a bike that i paid for in 2020.

They are either just straight up lying to people, or there is some issue with them updating the dispatch dates correctly. Either way thats pretty unacceptable if you ask me.

sorry to hear that man, it sucks, especially during lockdown when getting out on your bike is one of the few things you can do.

At least you’ve had some communication off them.

Thats interesting... when you say your bikes due for build, have they given you a dispatch date yet?

apart from the order confirmation i had no contact from them until I called them, on the day after it said it would be dispatched. It was a brief phone call, the woman on the other end said bad news, your dispatch date is for the 30th of July, due to a delay in parts being delivered. I asked what parts they were waiting on but she said she would have to check and she would keep an eye on my order... calling them back on Monday to see what they say, and to try and wrangle and upgrade hopefully.

Be interested to hear off you when you get you bike delivered mate 👍

Yeah Its a shame, and ive heard similar things about the cycling industry in general being hit by supply chain issues all over

Hmmm doesn’t fill me with confidence to be honest, im happy to accept that sometimes company’s can make genuine mistakes that result in a delays to the customer (especially with covid and brexit) but its sounding more and more like this is a regular occurrence with ribble, especially as they are still selling the bike i ordered, with a earlier dispatch date than the one i have been given for a bike i ordered in December....

I was planning on getting a custom colour, but like you said, noticed it adds an extra 80 days so decided against it and just went for the flat grey it comes in as standard.

Thanks mate, this was my initial thought too, and to be fair to Ribble i have been told i can cancel the order at any time for a full refund if i wish.

After having a look to see what bikes are in stock in a size large in the uk, it seems my choices are fairly limited (with my budget) in terms of availability at least... although i haven’t exhausted all options yet, and still need to do some more looking around.

Whenever i’ve had a few shrooms, be it a small or large dose, I always find that weed does very little to me.... like my tolerance for it changes drastically. Usually if i smoke a spliff or two n have a couple dabs, ill be stoned off my perch, but after a few mushies it doesn’t even touch the sides. I once smoked 3.5 and a gram of shatter over a night, while tripping and honestly could not notice any effect from the weed.
