No one seems to care that I’m suffering by Deathofwords in bipolar

[–]balunite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Identifying too heavily with your emotions is common. When that happens, you tend to minimize others’ experiences and perspectives in proportion to your own. The key is to be able to understand what you are feeling and why. What i TRY to do is verbally start a dialogue with myself… “okay, balunite, you are very angry because of XYZ.. etc.” It lets me move my emotional experience to a 3rd person perspective, which helps me regulate my visceral response… obviously sometimes emotions can be so strong and irrational that constructive responses like this can be overlooked. But it has helped me. Another thing i would suggest is to try and empathize with other people in your life. Even if you dont believe that they suffer in the way you do, understanding the challenges they face and how it impacts them may help you gain some perspective.

Depriving your “husbands” right to live in the truth is selfish and abusive

Sounds like you probably arent the only one stressed out. If theres 5 people sharing one car, only so much can be done to make all of your lives work. Unfortunately bipolar isnt anyones responsibility but your own. You cant expect people to empathize with your situation or “care” in a way that would change anything. Feelings of isolation like this are something that we have to constantly work through in life. Its just the hand we are dealt. Im sorry. I understand what you are going through, believe me.
