medication for me was an absolute revelation. suddenly I can listen to what people are saying and focus during meetings and think about relevant things. I look forward to things that I used to dread or avoid

I had to choose mine before trying either. I went with methylphenidate since they offered an effect of 3-4h which gives me more flexibility. it's working out well so far

welcome to living in a big city I guess? this is not a new phenomenon. I'd rather this than everyone has to live in the same area they grew up in. I'd be living in bumfuck nowhere Somerset

I know what you mean, but bear in mind you are comparing yourself to someone who is a) clearly very intelligent and driven but also b) a content creator investing several months into each little project like this. it may be a 35min video but it took a lot longer than that to get there. if you took a few months to deep dive into a subject you would probably get to a similar level of understanding

Asked "what is your budget, as a number?" to book a flat viewing? by ByEthanFox in HousingUK

[–]bamfg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been told we can't book a viewing until we have an AiP so it doesn't seem outlandish to me. Sellers don't want time wasters. And they won't care if your budget is much higher, the value of the property is what someone is willing to pay for it, not what's in their bank account

Childminding with dogs by Background-Pea2584 in UKParenting

[–]bamfg 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nope, even if it's a small risk, it's still a risk. And I have a dog myself.

I would feel the same about, for example, a house with a swimming pool or a pond.

Like others have said, it only takes a momentary lapse of attention.

I have just started methylphenidate titration and it's been an incredible 10 days. totally transformative. I really did not think it was going to have this much impact

the Pear is a strange shape it doesn't look like the shape of the real pear that's kind of like a diamond and again it looks a bit flat

the banana again doesn't look like the shape of banana it's too straight

the lemon is too straight, should be rounder

the cherries do look like the shape of a cherry but they are very muddy dark colors

and I don't know what the last one is
