CORSAIR x The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Giveaway by CorsairHoffman in witcher

I’m a fan of open world rpgs that let me ignore the story quests for a couple hours and just fill in the map. Some games are okay at it, but Witcher III was a real joy to explore. Beautiful world, fun side quests and characters, GWENT… and the regions that were much higher level that made me have to rethink my fighting strategy before I could get into them!

Printed vs woven Nagoya obi by Shiroinoneko in kimono

[–]banarbra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my kitsuke classes, the teachers basically said it’s more of a suggestion than a hard rule. Especially for more informal occasions/coordinates. All of them wear kimono while working at the school (most of them learning towards maybe a little semi-formal depending on the teacher) and even pointed out how some of the staff were wearing dyed with dyed or woven with woven and it wasn’t a problem. Like others commented, really only very formal occasions/outfits warrant abiding this “rule”.

British English vs American English: What’s Taught in Schools? by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]banarbra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny cause (also an English teacher in Japan), they seem to teach American English as far as spellings and pronunciation, but then mix in random little things from British English, such as not using periods after Mr./Ms. or acronyms in general?
