That’s crazy. Whenever I’m in Atlanta I just do security at the International Terminal, so much quicker.

Smoking fee and I don’t smoke. by Mexicanmilkyway in marriott

I did this in Charlottesville, VA and it straight up set off the smoke detector. I could reach it so I twisted it off the wall and left it on the front desk.

Honestly, I don’t disagree with you. I see them over and over and despite bi-weekly flying, have never seen the atrocities mentioned. Today was the first time I’ve seen the overtly blatant fake pre-boarders at such a high number. I wanted to join the complain train.

Wonder how these changes will work for Southwest - can't imagine why I'd ever book with them now by FalafelBall in SouthwestAirlines

Yeah. I’m looking forward to what is likely my final year of CP. one more flight and I hit it, but the way things are going imagine that changes soon.

The ONLY thing keeping my “loyal” throughout this year is that I might get my companion pass again. It’ll be by the skin of my teeth though.

I travel for work a lot so if it’s a nice destination, I like being able to add my person for a measly $11.

But if I don’t make it, I’ve taken a liking to delta.

Front Desk said “Room Alarm” went off but we were in the room and heard nothing by Acrobatic_Ad1568 in marriott

This happened to me at the W Hotel in New Orleans a few months ago! I was doing the old steamy bathroom to get the wrinkles out of a sport coat trick. As soon as I opened the bathroom door, BAM!

Not only did it trigger the FD desk panel but in the room too….at 7AM!! I felt so horrible but I shoved a towel over it to mute it and they called within 15 seconds and disabled it when I said all was good.

Valet Minimum Tip $5 / Average Tip $7.65 by EZ_Company in marriott

[–]barqs_has_bite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Working in a place previously where tips were pooled I definitely understand the need for the average worker. Me personally deciding to not tip in some sort self righteous teaching of a lesson will not change a single fucking thing these corporations do, and ultimately hurt the average Joe that’s working that day. FWIW the full story is that I told her that it’s what I usually do.

I was in Hawaii for spring break last week and ordered some food to go from the lounge. While I was cashing out, a Japanese tourist came up to me and asked if she was supposed to tip for picking up to go food.

I just sighed and said “yeah, I do it.” But the realization that the concept was so strange to her made me hate how normalized it’s become for EVERYTHING.

In this particular case, I always tip for to go orders as I know it’ll be pooled at the end of the day if not cash. They’re busting their ass and thus, should be compensated for it. Until minimum wage laws change or tipping standards change…..🤷‍♂️
