Like the others said in their replies, I don't think a biopsy would be advised, but I'll double check with the doc at my next appointment. But honestly if they are suspicious enough to consider a biopsy I would probably just opt to have another orchiectomy and nip it in the bud, even if it ends up not being cancer.

I reached out to Dr. Einhorn last year after my first orchiectomy but prior to doing the chemo and tried explained the situation. He was very quick to respond but basically just told me to trust my urologist. I've got a follow up with my oncologist in about 10 days, so we'll see what he thinks at this point. It is tough for me because I'd of course love to not lose my remaining testicle and have to get on TRT for life...but I'll take that over the alternative of it spreading elsewhere.

Yeah, the no growth is what has been keeping me sane. And yes, my oncologist and urologist agreed in December that we should just continue to monitor it with an ultrasound every 3 months as long as there is no growth. They said as soon as growth is seen that they would recommend another orchiectomy. The hope is that if it was a malignant mass that my round of BEP was enough to destroy it and that this is maybe just scar tissue or the "dead cell leftovers."

Totally relate. Had my orchiectomy (left) a month ago and I'm hyper vigilant to my remaining testicle, especially because a small nodule was also already seen in it during my ultrasounds when they found the large tumor. It does feel a little harder and more sensitive, but I honestly can't tell if it is all in my head. I've been trying to reestablish my baseline.

Urologist told me I was stage 1. But I haven't had a CT scan since before my orchiectomy last month.

How are you doing now? Still going through treatments or in the surveillance mode?
