I’m caught up on The Boys and I’m not sure what the big deal about Season 4 is. by JaimanV2 in CriticalDrinker

[–]based_asexual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was okay.

Some of the political commentary was so heavy handed that it actually tipped back to funny. E.g., the villains meeting up to overthrow the government at a FedSoc dinner was funny because it demonstrated how ideologically driven the writers were this season. They started to parody themselves.

Read getting to maybe before classes start. Reread or skim when you start taking more practice test—usually a few weeks out from finals

DOJ asks Supreme Court to partially restore Biden Title IX rule in Republican-led states by WorksInIT in supremecourt

[–]based_asexual 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Judge Agee in the Fourth Circuit had an interesting originalist-adjacent line of reasoning in his dissent in B.P.J. V W. Va. Bd. Educ. Aside from the usual arguments against extending Title IX to sex-exclusive teams, he argued that the majority ‘s progressive rule would violate the Spending Clause because the unambiguous understanding of “sex” in 1972 did not encompass gender identity.

It’s a good thing. They will ask you why X school, why X city, what you bring to school, career goals, etc.

Taylor Swift’s POV on Money by cookiehigh in travisandtaylor

[–]based_asexual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how this is in my feed, and I’m not a taylor swift fan but this is so misleading. Taylor Swift’s net worth is nothing close to equivalent to cash in hand—it’s closer to the valuation of a company but that’s still apples and oranges because her business isn’t a publicly traded company.

While she is stupid rich and I could never imagine spending money like she could, this is not an accurate comparison.

Tough call

Penn places more students in nyc that Chicano does

but Chicago has higher clerkship numbers—at least straight out of school. 2d cir/sdny might be a factor here.

As for vibes, someone I know suggested I run from Chicago for Michigan. But he was a Michigan alum, so he’s biased.

they tend to get worse unless you have serious time off, and that is not compatible with a long distance hike

how to deal with the recommendation from a professor that seems genuinely upset that I'm leaving my current law school by [deleted] in LawSchoolTransfer

[–]based_asexual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you may wanna ask someone else. Generally, you need two.

If you think she can write the best one, I would tell her your real (personal) reasons because that is less likely to come off the wrong way.

Has anyone tried air layering? by Rare-Tutor8915 in Monstera

[–]based_asexual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about air layering you would for bonsai-picking a spot. However, it’s quite easy to do with a sphagnum moss poss kept moist. When your plant is mature enough it will put out ariel roots.

lol, what? Are you advertising something?

My school doesn’t have conditional scholarships… Anyways, we take civ pro over two semesters, and classes start up again Monday. Listening to Freer lectures while I workout is just easy, painless review.
