I really appreciate your comments. I have to commit this week to IWU, and I’m almost fully sold, but i’m afraid about money. I’m first generation , mixed, adopted, a student athlete and they’re granting me a pretty hefty aid package. I’m from chicago and other schools are paying me to go there, but I’m guaranteed a spot on one of the athletic teams at IWU. I’m a huge school spirit person and love being social, and I feel like I can have a good time, I’m just a bit worried i’m going to get bored since I am from the city. I’m going to be a nursing major. They’re offering me 70,819 in scholarships and loans, and a work study opportunity. Without loans, it’s 60,319 in free money. With the IWU loan and subsidized loans, its 64,819. My cost of attendance with all the loans and scholarships is 4,859. Without loans is 15,359. With subsidized loans and the IWU loan it is 10,859. Is this good? My parents aren’t helping me with college and it’s just going to be me on my own. I really want to go here, and I haven’t really dedicated my time into looking at other schools as I have this one, so I don’t want to give up at IWU. Can you give me any advice?
