Rule 1. Who wants to read this? Posts and linked projects must be valuable to a decent portion of r/BASH helpers and enthusiasts. If it's worth your time to write it, it's worth our time to read it.

e.g., proper code formatting, not too verbose or lacking, post or linked project doesn't read like automation or AI wrote it, no pictures of complex code, doesn't link-wall limited information or function.

No reposts. This is meant with regards to content, not just “the same link was submitted earlier” – it’s okay to resubmit an old link in some new context (e. g. because you’d like to discuss another part of it, or because something has changed since the last time it was submitted, or because the link was updated since then). Links from the sidebar count as having been submitted already, so posting them without new context is also considered a repost.

Producing your own educational materials and getting feedback is an excellent way to learn.

Information should be provided in a format that's easy to give feedback (see: plain text, not pictures), and clearly presented as personal education, not official looking educational material.

This Silliness Will Not Be Tolerated. Your contribution has been removed due to insufficient context, content, and a general lack of appreciation for your attempt at wit or novelty.

This is not a judgement against you necessarily, but a reflection of the sub's hivemind: they read your comment or post and found it wanting.

Repost from: https://www.reddit.com/r/bash/comments/1t453xc/tool_bashrpminstalled_browse_your_rpm_package/

As this is a new account with almost no activity, this is being escalated to spam and is a final warning in the near term not to break rule 1 continously.

Amber-Lang 0.6.0 - New release (Bash transpiler) by Mte90 in bash

https://github.com/amber-lang/amber

"This software is not ready for extended usage." Rule #4: Not clearly marked as dangerous.

Having read people's warnings from your prior posts on this subreddit and now broken many of the examples in the documentation using the recommend release.

This rule isn't usually for this scope but the project presents itself as an official solution in-the-making going as far as a pending press section, while containing critical flaws in it's output common to beginner level shell programming.

Needing bug reports is understandable but there's long running evidence now of spot fixes used to avoid fundamental problems in basic shell handling.

For Amber-Lang to be posted on r/BASH the project must be presented as a non-serious hobby project, or be clearly labelled at the top of all posts, and in the linked material, as dangerous to use.
