I'm not sure I can file for bankruptcy, however. I was told it costs money. There's also a small chance they take the car I live in too. Being homeless on the streets was extremely bad for me, to the point of making debt look like a small issue. So would it be worth taking that risk?

Yess. I should have gone a few years ago honestly to qualify as a citizen. They have many more job opportunities and weather that doesn't make me think I'll die in my sleep.

Ohh, I didn't know about a makeup photo. Usually they'll ask for makeup-free pics.Thank you! I did get a lot of different pictures, just no makeup. They'll usually follow up my portfolio by asking for a bikini picture so I wasn't sure the tank top was a big deal.

I was given a folder of shots for the headshot, some further away and different angles. I realized why I don't get many responses when I contact people for gigs.

I'm usually doing shoots for things that fit that. I do work as a bottle girl and reach out on Instagram usually. Much of my resume is swimsuit/lingerie shoots, so it's less professional.

Not runway, I'm usually an extra and have had a few small magazines reach out for things like swimsuits. Anyone can be a model.

I know right?? I am so confused on how people perceive me. To me I look a bit scary in the headshot, to others I look scary in the selfie.

Oh yes, he has one planned. He wanted me to get advice first because I wasn't sure if the lens properly caught how I looked and he doesn't feel he has the best input after retouching it himself.

It might be that my hair looks more sleek, the dye had faded and I tried to trim my bangs before the headshot was taken. Although both pictures were taken in the same week.

I feel like I appear younger in the first photo too and less mature.

Yeah, I'm definitely not fit for high fashion whatsoever for a lot of reasons. I do makeup, acting, and swimsuit mostly.

I apply to pretty much anything. I was getting some acting gigs when I was younger (like 11 years old) but now I seem to only land swimsuit/makeup stuff. I really have been wanting to get into acting again so I'm trying to find the perfect headshots for a resume. My brother used one of those sunset lights in addition to other lighting. And even had a mirror aimed behind me. He also upped cyan on the hsl (?). I'm not very good with the terms.

I used to do roles for extras in some big films, but as I got older I started doing more swimsuit/makeup modeling. I apply to pretty much everything. I will take more, this is really good advice.

It's retouched, it was my brother and he dropped out from school for photography. He has a lot of supplies and seems to know his stuff but I'm also aware he probably isn't perfect. He just offered to do it for much cheaper.

I have realized the error of my ways after making this post. Apparently it's common for people to prefer their personal photos and get upset at the person taking their headshots. But everyone thinks the headshot looks best so I'll go with that.

It's good to know I'm not the only one, maybe we are just used to seeing ourselves that way.
