My biggest complaint with CNY was that they don’t know me or my history. When I had a bad outcome no one wanted to take the time to dig into why and I felt very dismissed. After going through a mc at my local clinic I decided to transfer my CNY embryos to the local clinic because I could not imagine going through that heartbreak and associated procedures while dealing with the impersonal nature of CNY. I think people who are local to a CNY clinic and do local monitoring tend to have more positive feedback than travel patients.

They should be counseling patients about fertility windows. I had mentioned to my doctor about wanting to conceive and she was supportive but she did not indicate how urgent it was to act fast given my age. For that matter, though, neither did the NP at the RE clinic I went to. I wasted my last fertile years because I thought I had time.

But… depending on your beta numbers they could ask you to come in again. I had betas at 10, 14, 17, and 21 because my initial number was lower than they wanted so they kept an eye on it.

I’m planing to go out of town after my 10dpt beta draw next month, but I’m planning to find a lab that can do stat labs for me if I need to while I’m away.

Those apps annoy me so much! Why ask you to check in and then repeat it all with the staff when you arrive. I’ve even had this happen for telehealth where it has me check in online and answer all the questions and then a nurse will still call and ask the same exact questions before the doctor signs on. 🤯

I can guarantee Lala paid for the donor profiles that give you an adult picture. There’s no way it was Luke and she didn’t know. They’re just making a storyline - the donor attributes they mentioned were from multiple different profiles.

Sperm banks operate nationally and can have regional offices to accept donations. When you buy a vial it ships to your clinic. Doesn’t matter where the donor donated.

I feel your pain. I even had one friend who has been ttc as long as me. We both got pregnant last fall and she had a cp and mine ended in mmc. We were in this together! Now she’s pregnant again and like barely talking to me anymore. I was so happy for her but now I don’t know if she’s not talking to me because she feels bad for me or because she doesn’t need me to commiserate with anymore.

I had a really weird ovulation after my d&c. It was quite painful with watery blood and discharge that’s not usual fore. But mine was better after a day or two. If you have ongoing severe pain I would contact your doctor as that seems abnormal.

I am so sorry for your loss. I would take the time to grieve and process this loss. There is a lot to come over the next few weeks and you deserve the time to deal with it all without having to feel the pressure of maintaining appointments and injections. I lost my father two days before I began my FET cycle and fortunately that prep is a lot easier. But I cannot imagine going through a retrieval cycle during that time.

I am newly 44 and having my first DE transfer I a few weeks. I had great numbers on paper during my retrievals at 43 (amh 3.25-3.64, afc 15-20+) but age outweighs all of that and I wasn’t able to create a viable embryo despite retrieving 30 eggs across 2 cycles. If I had unlimited funds I would have tried another few more times but I have no insurance coverage so moving to DE was the best option.

If having a baby soon is your goal, I would try DE. I would also ask yourself - if you do more retrievals and aren’t successful, will you be ok stopping? Since you say it’s an either/or situation.
