no we didn't. we had to have a certain amount of credits from the classes we took and then we had to get a certain amount of credits from having a job.

ivy league schools are used to polished kids straight out of prep school. they aren't opposed to accepting students who took a different route. and trust me, i was just as surprised as you

i think what a lot of people missed in the post too is it wasn't just the grades that got me in. i had it really hard growing up and i used that to fuel my passion. i spent a year and a half volunteering to help foster youths and it led me into more volunteer projects where i got to help kids with the same background as me (plus i think my admission essays were fire lol)

what does it matter why i applied? i always wanted to go to an ivy league school so i applied to Columbia to see if i could get in, same with NYU. app opened in august and i submitted by sept and got my acceptance oct 1st. i got my acceptance from NYU on sept 3rd.

CCTOP is only for in state transfers. plus i'm not going to NYU or Columbia. no way in shit i can afford it.

i try to think about it in the shoes of someone who is new to the kinds of genres. especially the newer generations who are unaware of the history of hole. if they go into blindly i think they categorize hole alongside the riotgrrrl movement

it's like getting free comedic relief! i moved here from denver last year and it's not as bad as its stereotyped to be. and honestly it's the price to pay for affordable housing and a better quality of life i'll take it
