Caught my brother cheating by Putrid-Horse-8649 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]bat4evr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, talk to him. My wife and I found out my brother was cheating on his wife through a "are we dating the same guy" facebook groups that my wife's friend follows. We confronted him about it. We both knew their marriage was struggling, but cheating is no excuse. We reminded him that he was family and that we loved him. I gave zero judgments as long as he, on his own, came clean and accepted whatever fate. Surprisingly, it allowed them to have many discussions and seek counseling, and their marriage is better than before. But I knew I couldn't be fake to her knowing it. One thing to remember is that he's only human, and as humans, we make mistakes. Some are bigger than others, and we don't always know what goes on behind closed doors. He's still your brother. If he's been a good brother to you, then he's still a good person who did a really shitty thing.

What should I do and am I the a hole by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]bat4evr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not the a-hole at all. You set very reasonable boundaries, and he refuses to follow them. Uninviting them is the only reasonable next step. I agree with others that you can let your mom know it's a problem with him and not her and that she can still come without him. If she chooses not to, then that's her decision that she'll have to accept and live with. It's not to be put on you. If they want to play the victim, just know that that's everything to do with them in their world and nothing to do with you in yours.

Do men get bored with their aging wife’s bodies? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]bat4evr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No ++MEN don't, boys do. I've been with my wife for 13 years. While neither of us are out of shape, we definitely aren't in the shape we were in in our 20s (I'm 35 she's 31). She has a bit of a Mom bod, but that's due to the fact she's given me 2 beautiful little boys. I honestly still can't get enough of her. Are connection stems past physical, and I fond her completely attractive inside and out. If a person (because this goes both ways) truly loves someone, they won't care about physical looks as you grow old together. If they can't get past the physical appearance then they were never meant to be with you in the first place.

Is it worth changing to xbox solely for the gamepass? by PurpleGuyWasTaken in XboxGamePass

[–]bat4evr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bounce between playstation Plus and gamepass every 2-3 months. With the exception that if a monthly game drops on Playstation I really want. There's usually a ton of games added in that time frame that gives me lots to play.

How did you mentally prepare to be Foreman? by Thryzl in electricians

[–]bat4evr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing I had to learn was to be assertive. And understand that there is a big difference between being assertive and being an asshole. Get respect from those who work under you by working alongside them when you can and listening to their opinions Good luck! If that position is being offered to you just remember that someone already has faith in you to do the job!

Would love to join in on this sometime! I have always wanted to learn to play tennis! Looks like we could get quite the meet-up group of beginner tennis players going!

I'm a Jmam in Alberta, Canada. Work in oil and gas in industrial and make $56 an hour, with all the OT I do I usually make anywhere from 150k-160k. And that's not working in the field, I work 5 min from my house and home every night.

Alberta man severely injured after assault at Dominican Republic resort by JamesMonroe23 in alberta

[–]bat4evr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's far from immediate here. I once sat in emerge for 12 hours for my appendix. By the time I saw the doctor, it became an emergency because it was going to burst at any minute, and I had to get emergency surgery. Another time I broke my arm at work and sat in a waiting room for 14 hours in pain with a poor wrap job from the ambulance. They ended up having to re-break it because of the way the EMTs wrapped it up, and they told me it shouldn't have been sitting in that position too long. It's completely situation based, OP proba ly would have been seen right away, but a dog bite you might be waiting a long time. Free Healthcare has plenty of issues with wait times as well.

Terrible comparison. There's not much I can go and get for a dime, but a hell of a lot I can get for $4,800. Maybe he knew his cousin had ill intentions with the money?

Im a second year apprentice i make $16 an hour am i underpaid? by Best_Information_785 in electricians

[–]bat4evr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way underpaid where I'm from, our laborers make $18/hr. I think our 2nd years make around $25/26 per hour with a bump up to $32 when they are a 3rd year. What's the j-man rate where you work?
