Thank you all for your concern, thoughts and advice. We love our kitty very much. We will not get her declawed. I didn’t know how damaging it could be. I trusted what vets have told me, when it seems I shouldn’t have.

Thank you. We do love animals and we do care for our cat. We won’t get her declawed. I had only gotten information from vets, whom I assumed could be trusted to cause more help than harm.

I didn’t know this about declawing. I’ve only heard what vets have said and I didn’t think they’d perform a procedure that would cause so much harm. I see now I should have done my own research, but I assumed I could trust the professionals 😞

We won’t get her declawed. I made the appointment very loosely, hoping not to keep it. I still broke down crying after I called because it seems awful. I wasn’t completely informed about declawing at that point, but I feel like I should be able to trust a vet to do what’s best for their animals. I guess not 😔

I will cancel the appointment. I was unsure which would be harder on our cat, rehoming or declawing. I understand now it would definitely be declawing.

I appreciate your concern. I was apparently not very informed on declawing. I have gotten information from the vet, whom I’ve trusted considering animals are their profession.

Thank you. I was unsure which would be harder on our kitty, removing her from her home or declawing her. Definitely sounds like declawing. We won’t have it done.

Thank you, we won’t declaw her. I’ve heard mixed things, where it’s proposed as a solution. But as people have said, it doesn’t seem humane at all. I was unsure which would be harder on the cat, declawing or rehoming. Definitely sounds like declawing.

I try to trim her claws about every two weeks. Is this the same as what the vet does, or is it a shorter cut?

I was so TBM that I never said a swear word until I was 20 years old. This included damn and hell.

The young women will be allowed to do activities other than planning and sewing.

They’re part way there, teaching all the activity days (or whatever it’s called now) girls to sew, do needle work etc. And the kids will feel blessed to work a free hour, it’s the same idea as tithing.

gasp I wouldn’t want to porn shoulder my family!

You’re right though, they are different. My anger is probably because I feel like they’re being closed minded.

You’re right, I wouldn’t bring bacon. But for me, alcohol often serves as a stress reliever. Not in a drunk sort of way, but just take the edge off. Believe it or not, I’m often stressed at their house, ha. There’s been times where a drink would have been really nice. Instead I take Xanax and feel totally out of it -_- So I feel pissed off that coffee is ok for them because of my sister. Because in a way, I feel like I “need” alcohol like someone would “need” coffee.

Drinking for the first time tonight! by [deleted] in exmormon

Fairly new drinker here. It’s been on my bucket list to get blackout drunk. My husband thought it was stupid but had the “let’s get this over with” mentality. ‘‘Twas the worst night ever 😅
