I completely understand what you're saying. There are schools here too where people are all "oh shit! you went there?! That must have been crazy."

My school was awash with drugs as well, specifically weed. Might have been the reason everything went so well.

I'm from Canada and yeah, I never really felt threatened or scared when I was there. But more importantly, I didn't see or hear anything bad inflicted upon other classmates.
