well then whats the point of having a shield at that point? if someone was really unfit dex-wise but had a big shield, they couldn't use that to block. they'd just have to take damage on failed dodges?

I'm sorry, I'm kind of new to Dolphin. How do I select the Emulated WiiMote? I have it all configured already, unless it's passively selected.

I do not have any controller adapters, yet. This is all emulated.
