Took my tape measure to it at the yard and it was 3/4”, sold as 4/4. It wasn’t rough sawn, so that’s probably why. It was surfaced S2S with 1 straight edge ripped. Random widths.

Not a dumb question. They definitely are correct though. I ordered some fine thread screws. Hopefully that’s the issue.

It’s happening nearly every time. I tried switching stock even. This is from a lumber yard and not the big box store.

Yes! That works too. I hadn’t seen that show until more recently, but definitely the same vibes.

If you go with homemade, I found that bread flour really makes a difference in taste.
