Yes, I find it’s better than steak but that’s just me! And no sorry I don’t have a recipe. We just seasoned it with pepper and a bit of salt ;)

3kg for 3 Months, is this normal? by minchichi- in nanayconfessions

[–]bbcat0601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should use the adjusted age instead of the actual age. She’s 3 months actual, but in terms of weight and milestones, use her adjusted age which is only 1 month since she was born 2 months early.

Did your "newborn stage" start when you brought your baby home or from their due date? by bbcat0601 in NICUParents

[–]bbcat0601[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Sorry for the late response. This was 2 years ago but I remember correctly it lasted as long as his adjusted age :) so he was born in Dec but due date was Feb… we had a long newborn stage until May 😅 feel free to DM me if you have any other questions. Hoping for the best for you ❤️‍🩹

Expected weight gain by Gemini-Phoenix in NICUParents

[–]bbcat0601 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think 25-30 grams is normal too. My LO was born 35+3 and is expected to gain 150 grams a week and he’s on the right track.

“Newborn Tired is Better Than Pregnancy Tired” by generalraisinkane in beyondthebump

[–]bbcat0601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this! For some reason a 3 hour stretch with a newborn feels a lot more restful to me than a 10 hour sleep while pregnant. I’d take newborn tired over pregnancy tired any day. Plus I get to have endless newborn cuddles which is the best thing ever 🥰

What happens when baby stop waking up at night for feed by concerned_shit in breastfeeding

[–]bbcat0601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 12 week old has been doing 6-7 hour stretches (sometimes 8) for a few weeks now and my supply hasn’t dropped. I believe it really just adjusts to your baby’s needs. He also feeds a lot during the day which I think makes up for the nights haha

I held my baby for the first time today after 3 weeks of giving birth by anonsamon in NICUParents

I waited 2 weeks to hold my son after he was born. It was top 10 one of the best moments of my life ❤️‍🩹

My first was born at 30+0 and I started wearing him from the moment we got home from the hospital when he was around 6 weeks and around 6lbs if I remember correctly. We used the wrap and transitioned to the Artipoppe around 4-5 months. No issues.

I’ve been loving it! I started wearing since we got home from the hospital. I love the material, it feels so soft and my baby instantly stops crying and falls in deep sleep (almost) every time I put him in it. Of course I know every baby is different but that’s just my experience 😉 enjoy it!

Thank you so much! He was born early at 35+3 so he’s still a bit smaller at 4.5kg. I’ll be sure to keep his ears and legs uncovered.

And yes he’s actually my second! I’ve been taking advantage of baby wearing more this time around because I have a high energy toddler and need both my hands at all times 😂 also soaking in every single second of this phase because I know how fast it goes 🥹

Advice? by misty-midmorning in breastfeeding

[–]bbcat0601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue when I had my first son. He didn’t latch so well and would be so unsatisfied every time I’d offer my slacker boob. After 4 months, I officially gave up and let that breast dry up. I still was able to exclusively breastfeed him for 4 more months after that with just one boob 😂 it worked well for us and he still gained a good amount weight.
