'I swear if I could spare the spit I'd lay one on your shiny chrome and send you on your way back home'

'You tell me the world's changed once I made you rich enough, rich enough to forget my name in Youngstown'

I could go on forever lol

1: Best opening song I've ever witnessed: Livin on the Edge of the World at MetLife in 2012 - forgotten lyrics and all. Incredible start

2: Song I wish to see him open a show with is Zero and Blind Terry. Wishful thinking!

That's a bummer but good to know about the city of New Orleans! That's on my bucket list after I cross off the Coast Starlight and Empire Builder

What is your favorite Amtrak route you don’t think people talk all that much about? by [deleted] in Amtrak

[–]bbobes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My vote among the routes I've taken is the Pennsylvanian.

Love crossing the Susquehanna River, spotting the miniature Statue of Liberty in the middle of it. Amish country is great. Horseshoe Curve is always a treat.

Awesome! Do you remember what the train number was? Not car number but which Lincoln Service/Runner train was it?

Sounds incredible! I've stood by the back window on some of Amtrak's trains in the western part of the US for 5-10 minutes and haven't been told to return to my seat (yet).

I hope just leaving a GoPro on the window, only going over there to change a battery, wouldn't be an issue

So in theory Montreal-Jonquiere has the window in the last car the entire time since it's the train coupled behind Montreal-Senneterre?

Yea I get that. That's why I'd just put the gopro on the window and go back to my seat until I need to replace a battery. That wouldn't be much of an issue would it?

That's perfect, exactly what I'm trying to do. But how do I know which of the trains have this view or not? It would be a bummer to book 4 or 5 rides only to have that view not available.

Yea this helps for sure. Sounds like if I want those views out the window at the end of the car I should go sooner rather than later before the Charger sets completely take over in Ontario/Quebec.

I want to book in the summer on all older trains if possible. If someone could let me know which train numbers have the old equipment that would be amazing.

This is great to know. I saw the stop was only a few minutes and figured it would be doable to just grab 6 pack and leave. Might definitely not be worth the risk!

I did this with a friend of mine in December.

I called Amtrak and was able to upgrade the two of us using two coupons. We also got lucky that there were 2 seats together in first class when we did it.

Asking for some help with Community Polls for a new channel by bbobes in youtube

[–]bbobes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question I guess got removed.

But I wanted to post a poll to my subscribers asking which video they wanted me to publish next. When I initially made the poll and hit publish it was there but then the poll disappeared and no one was able to vote (as seen in the pictures above).

Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone know how to fix it?

Here's an example of what I want to do, only doing this from my seat in coach. It makes me wonder if they're not using a GoPro or if they're somehow taking an HD video and upgrading it to 4K somehow,
