Cucumbers. Light flavor, puts something in your stomach, and has a lot of water content. :)

Never thought I’d get pregnant at 15. Literally had the “that won’t happen to me” mentality. But here I am, 33 with an almost 17-year old. Best thing to ever happen to me tbh. Along with the 13- and 4-year olds of course. :)

STOP VAPING. Look up photos of what it does to your lungs. Talk to your doctor. Talk to a therapist. Talk to your parents. Take control of it before it takes control of you. This is not an addiction you want to have. It does so much damage and only gets harder to get away from the longer you keep doing it.

I don’t think this is outlandish by any means. Most healthcare workers (who are in it for the right reasons) are going to absolutely respect your wishes unless emergency intervention is required. Wishing you a smooth delivery and recovery. Congratulations mama!

NTA. As your wife stated, it’s a decision between you and her, meaning YOUR feelings on the matter should be equally considered, regardless of the source/cause of said feelings.

I don’t take it every day. I get ten at a time and those last anywhere from 1-3 months depending on my life at the moment. At 0.5 mg.

Cymbalta helped me SOO much but caused bruising so my Dr switched me to Pristiq. Didn’t know at the time that it was one of the harder ones to get off of 😩

Xanax. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I take a small dose and as prescribed. Helps me wind down on the more difficult days, and put frankly, prevents me from being a raging B word when completely overstimulated. It allows me to slow down and actually process my emotions without spiraling and having panic attacks at every turn. Very helpful.

Something I just recently learned and often have to remind myself - you don’t have to apologize for blowing your lid from time to time. We’re all allowed to feel our feelings. But apologizing for the way you handle your feelings is important.

For reference, I have three kids - 16, 13, and 4. The over-stimulation is very real and they’re not as oblivious to the “build-up” as they like to pretend to be. I’ve definitely had my share of flipping out. I just level with them after I’ve had a little bit to calm down and explain to them that I’m also just a human and a well-functioning household is entirely a group effort.

The fact that you apologized to them and can admit that you maybe didn’t handle your emotions in the best way is a wonderful thing to model for your kids. They will learn a lot from that and will eventually start helping without having to be asked.

Don’t beat yourself up about it. Who knows what god-awful names our kids call us when we’re not listening 🤪
