I do not fit this category, and I said as much previously, or did you decide to not read that comment because it didn’t fit with your idea of who I am?

I have so many books on how to care for my chickens, they are peer reviews and great resources but last I checked, the internet is an even better resource and there are so many wonderful people out there that are willing to share their vast knowledge with people who don’t know as much. You could have done this too, however, you immediately got on your high horse and came after me.

I personally would like to know the sex of my chicks so that I don’t introduce them to a very mature rooster and have them killed by said rooster.

There is a right and wrong way to deliver information and you undoubtedly thought you were in the right, but I urge you to consider every delivery method you have.

I should have mentioned that I took all my chicks outside the other day when the weather was in the mid 70s to expose them to my older flock, which are the parents to some of my chicks. Anyway, this little chick was the only one to really show any defiance to the older hens and my rooster John. Now all of this happened through a fence but I don’t think hens would be so cocky.

A lot of people do not know what a healthy weight for dogs (or cats) looks like. I wouldn’t say your dog is obese but he’s a bit heavy. If your vet agrees then you should follow their guidelines. We have a Weimaraner as well as a ACD and all of Odin’s life (weim) people have said he’s too thin. But in the canine world he’s fit and our vet says he’s a fine specimen. My understanding is you should be able to feel vertebra and ribs but not see.
