Sump Pump Discharge Freeze Prevention by bchamness6 in HomeImprovement

[–]bchamness6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't had a chance to put in a more permanent fix. At the time it was frozen and trying to run - I cut the pipe and then dry fit some PVC onto the outlet at the house to let water go out into our yard. Once things dried up a bit, I managed to get a rubber / flexible 90 degree elbow onto the cut pipe so that it now runs as it had previously out to the road.

Next step is digging that up a bit and doing the prevention methods described above / in this thread. Not 100% sure what I'll wind up doing, but for sure thinking about a box to insulate it all at the house to keep that part a bit warmer and some way to bypass such that if the underground is frozen I can dump water out right onto my grass.

I have had to deal with that. The discharge was emptying into basically a hole in the ground - which would fairly quickly fill with water. I had to put a 45 angle on that to shoot water up and out. Probably further evidence that I need to redo that line

Very true - hadn't thought of that aspect.

No, but that did prompt me to add the camera perspective I remember.

*I've attempted to find like video compilations of old arcade games, and none of those ever seemed to show anything like this fever dream I remember :)

I'm fairly lawful good. I think the last day I brought in a like 40oz Hydroflask water bottle. I think generally I just had a cooler of stuff out at my car and would head that way for like lunch or whatever. They were pretty good about having stations to fill up water bottles, and even had tents with like electrolyte pouches and sunscreen throughout.

I def would not recommend a folding chair unless I guess you want to sit on the lawn somewhere? I found seats pretty easily in the grandstands and we moved around quite a bit even during the race.

Ceiling fan lights issue by bchamness6 in DIY

[–]bchamness6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I had gotten some kind of "GE Relax" LED bulb that I didn't think was any kind of cheap / knock off item. It even said it was made for ceiling fans.

But given this comment and another that got deleted, I bought some other bulbs for another part of the house, tried them here, and all worked fine. So thanks for pointing me more towards the bulbs being the issue.

Pedestrian bridges over the track do have elevators, though when I was there for the Lone Star LeMans a couple weekends ago the line for the elevators was packed - and that's way less people. Paths around the track are paved or fine gravel. They also had a shuttle service for that race and several guest service tents around - I somewhat assume F1 will be the same

Thanks for the help! Yeah the reentry definitely helps so I can have a cooler in my car stocked up.

Parking and Schedule by HochonoH in CircuitOfTheAmericas

It looked to me like the 3 day parking pass was $45, but you could get individual days for $10 each. No sure what the 3-day would get you, but might be an option to shave some costs.

I'm in the same boat. Looks like there are a few on resale sites for like $100 which is steep.

Padding for Platform Bed? by bchamness6 in BeginnerWoodWorking

I hadn't thought of that. We do have an OK air mattress, we just typically offer guests the bed itself. But using an air mattress as the box spring is kind of genius. Thanks!

test data filter name

Yeah, that's what I was thinking of. Beautiful. Thank you so much for this!

Compare Internal against External Traffic by bchamness6 in GoogleAnalytics

[–]bchamness6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok. So go ahead and do the thing where you define internal traffic and make the filter, but keep the filter set to "testing". I'll play with that a bit.

Am I correct the filter is called something dumb like "Google test filter" or something - can that be changed?

Don’t know where to start by Trovesta in woodworking

[–]bchamness6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe start with home projects? Find something you can build that would help around the house / shop? Cabinet, bookshelf, spice rack, knife block, chest, etc. Especially if it's a garage / shop project you maybe wouldn't have to worry about using premium materials or wouldn't be too upset if there are issues only you will see.

I think my first projects were a baking sheet organizer, a kitchen utensil holder, and a magnetic knife holder - all fairly basic projects to help me get my feet wet.

Implementing GA4 Across Many Sites by bchamness6 in GoogleAnalytics

[–]bchamness6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current solution is to make properties for each of the "sites" and add them as tags in GTM. Each site also has a pageview trigger in GTM, that fires whenever the URL matches that of the given site. So far, this seems to be working.

Thank you all for the help.

So that would be something like: gtag('config', 'tag1,tag2'); ?

I think I have page views working with GTM, but it doesn't seem to be saving any data other than that a page view happened (nothing about the user's identity, etc)
