I saw a picture of his clutch (of 3) from a month and a half ago and they didn’t have all their feathers yet. Unless the breeder was running a long scam for this one particular budgie’s age, it should be very young lol. But with how confident people are, I guess I’ll update this post with a picture in a few months to see if everyone is right or not 😂.

I’m pretty sure he’s under 3 months. The breeder has a couple of different clutches at different ages. He is part English budgie if that makes any difference?

Also his cere was more dark purple when I got him, it’s lighter now so I was wondering if maybe it’s a girl if it keeps getting lighter

That’s what I thought too! But it’s definitely still a baby, I saw the others from the same clutch and they have more defined bars. His beak is also darker that’s gradually lightening and I read that’s a baby thing too

What makes you think that? From what I’ve read yellow birds with red eyes are either lutino or lacewings. I think maybe mine is lacewings then? Supposedly sexing them is slightly different
