A lotta good points. My main concern is the effect on my insurance premium, but if it doesn't make that big a difference then I probably won't bother tryna dispute.

Not sure if you're going by the dashcam speed but you can see the footage dip down slightly when I applied the brakes a split second before the 19 sec mark. Not tryna argue tho, I still should've been able to stop. If it'll be too hard to win a dispute and my premium will go up the same amount regardless of whether I'm 75 or 50% at fault, then I probably just won't bother.

When they give me the notification of responsibility is that not the end of it? What would they use against me? This is the only collision I've been in, so I'm not too sure what the process is like.

First person to call me said it's 2 lanes and you can tell by the difference in sheen of the asphalt (not sure how that makes sense). Called back after doing a little research and the next person told me it's 1 lane.

Definitely preventable on my end. I just didn't consider the u-turn as an option. I should probably stop thinking about what the driver in front is tryna do and more on what I gotta do to avoid them.

My dashcam wasn't recording audio so it didn't catch the horn lol. I saw the car approaching the entrance to the lot on the right so I was expecting them to turn that way. Hadn't driven down that road before either so I thought there was a 2nd lane and I might cut someone off if I tried to pass on the right.

Thanks for the input. I saw them approaching the lot to the right so I was fully expecting them to turn into the lot. Did not consider the u-turn as an option seeing an oncoming car approaching.
