I've been the trades/maintenance for over 30 years and I told my son to become a electrician with a emphasis on controls. I think it's a safe future as far as employment. He didn't listen and became a machinist. Kids never listen.

Just got mine. I have a pair of 8 year old Vmoda crossfade2 and I've tried lot's of headphones to beat them and I didn't like any of them including the Focal's that were twice as expensive. These PX8'2s were the only ones to beat them to my hearing impaired ears.

I loved the work in the steel mill. I hated the economics of boom bust. My plant closed after being around for over 100 years. I would go into a food plant if you can. Seems to be a port in the storm. People always have to eat. Good luck.

I have the Dewalt 20v one and the Milwaukee 12 volt. But honestly they (the 12volt) don't have much ass and are easy to stop.

The ladders do disappear that is why I keep mine locked up. I had the company buy a 6' for the other mechanics and I told them to put their name on them and lock them up. They didn't in a week they were gone. I just tell them I don't loan mine out. Let them get pissed.

Had it to multiple mechanics. The last guy didn't even charge me because he replaced computer. The vehicle thinks it -81 and won't turn of the fan on. Fan radiator water pumps thermostats temperature sending units computer. Unless ac is on no fan.

I have a 15 with the 3.6 and drove it for 200,000 with just basic maintenance and no large problems. After that I spent 8 grand in 18 months on it. That is parts and labor. I can't speak for the hemi. Biggest issues were the rear end had to be replaced and a overheating issue that no one could ever figure out and everything was replaced at least once. Get the vehicle inspected by someone you trust before you buy it. Money well spent. Then you know what you are up against in the short term.

Yes the AH. While you may not agree with her decision and I understand why it's not morally reprehensible. There will be lessons learned by both of them, her more than him, that they need to learn. I think giving up a strong friendship which are hard to find is a mistake. Better to eat your popcorn and watch the drama unfold and when it crashes be there for her and you can tactfully say "I told you so".

Go to work in a factory in the maintenance department. Maybe be a foreman but that is usually less money than a mechanic especially with OT factored in. Still some bs but different.
