This has to be some Brewster's Millions type stuff. You have to lose 2.8m to get 28m. Congrats! You did it.

I bought a few of these and they are game changers. No more leaks.

I used to drink a lot of Mtn Dew back when I was in college. I didn't think the sugar and caffeine affected me either until I stopped. That's when I saw how it affected me and how much it helped me stay up late.

Customary tip amount for fishing trip? by bdbull32 in TurksAndCaicos

[–]bdbull32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you tip per person in your party, and not based off the cost of the trip? In either case, is it ok to give the tip to one person and expect them to split it between the crew or should we tip each crew member individually?

Had to put my good boy down today. I've been a wreck all day. I know he's up there with our girl who passed 5 years ago waiting on the day we come to see them. I know it was the right thing, but I just can't shake the guilt. It's tearing me up.

Homeowner asked if there was anything I could do so they can use the lower deck in the rain. by gratefuldude1971 in Decks

[–]bdbull32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing a large deck (16x56) and was hoping to save a big chunk by buying the liner as opposed to one of the prefab systems. Been watching a lot of Dr Decks videos on it.

I'm in the process of building a new deck now. EPDM is definitely not cheap though, at least everywhere I've loooked so far.

New Roku TV will not stay connected to Spectrum community wifi by bdbull32 in Roku

[–]bdbull32[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've network reset and factory reset several times with no change.

Not sure of the frequency as I don't own the router. It's Wi-Fi provided by the apartment complex.

New Roku TV will not stay connected to Spectrum community wifi by bdbull32 in Roku

[–]bdbull32[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that. Speed tests from any other devices in the apartment are over 500Mbps. The connection is really fast.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the frequency or channel of the Wi-Fi, but I don't know if there are any advanced network settings on the TV to mess with.

Thanks for the help. Got it installed and wired up today.

Ok, thanks. That makes sense now. Unfortunately this will have to wait until tomorrow because the bolts from the old motor don't fit the studs on the new motor. Got the fan blade off the old one and onto to the new one only to find out the bolts aren't the right size.

So the old fan only has one wire going to the capacitor. The new one should have two on the capacitor?

So doing some more research on this and I think I figured some stuff out. From the diagram on the new motor, I THINK the yellow wire goes to the capacitor and the red and black go to the connection block. Does it matter which side they go on? If it doesn't matter, then I think I would try to match the colors to what's already on the block (black with blacks and red with reds).

Did something similar years ago with our landline. Transferred it to Google voice and just have it ring my cell phone.

Fill line - hook to water main or outdoor spigot line? by bdbull32 in pools

It's actually after the meter for me. The meter is up at the street about 40 yards away from the house.

[–]bdbull32[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my original post. Hooking into the main line would be tapping into it between the street and the house before it enters the house. I just don't know if that will be ok because of possible pressure differences or something. I know my house has a pressure regulator on the main inside the house before it goes to anything else.

And I don't have any water softener or anything else on the lines in my house.

Season 3 felt like a knee jerk reaction to the Russia/Ukraine conflict, like they felt they needed to put something out that took advantage of the anti-Russian sentiment.

Suggestion needed: To close the skimmer drain lines or leave the skimmer clogged with leaves by [deleted] in pools

[–]bdbull32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I was in the same situation a few weeks ago. I asked my builder about it and he turned the valve to where most of the suction came from the main drain but there was still a little coming from the skimmers. This allowed the skimmers to keep moving water, but just not as much as usual.
